The Snowy Past Event quest will only be unlocked after completing ''For a Tomorrow Without Tears'' from the Prologue: Act 2 Archon Quest in Mondstadt. This is one of the three required quests to fully unlock the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event.

The Snowy Past Part I Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Teleport to Mondstadt and approach Timaeus, Sucrose, and Albedo at the Alchemy stand.
2	Teleport to Dragonspine and approach Amber and the Adventurers' Guild members.
3	Go near the entrance to Dragonspine and talk with Joel.
4	Head inside the Dragonspine area and go to the location beside the Frostbearing Tree.
5	Search for the mysterious voice by following the quest locations three times.
6	Head to Albedo's Campsite. This will complete the first part of The Snowy Past quest.

The Snowy Past quest is divided into two parts. Both parts will reward the same Primogem, Hero's Wit, and Mora rewards, which gives a grand total of 120 Primogems, 6 Hero's Wit, and 60,000 Mora!

The Snowy Past Part II Walkthrough

Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Follow the trail of footsteps until you reach a cliff near a Fatui Anemoboxer Vanguard, then drop down to the quest location near the icy lake.
2	Break and collect two Inferior Starsilver.
3	Go to the campsite near the icy lake to find Bennett locked inside a wooden cage.
4	Search the tent camps for possible locations for the Key to the cage.
5	Defeat the Fatui Electro-Hammer Vanguard and the Fatui Cryo-Gunner Legionnaire to acquire the Key.
6	Return to the cave near the northeast of the lake where Albedo once was.
7	Return to Albedo's campsite and tidy his research equipment by clicking the prompts. After completing this quest, the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms Event Shop, Born of the Snow, and Dragonspine Special Training event activites will unlock!

The environmental effects of Sheer Cold is your number one enemy when doing the quest in Dragonspine, so it is recommended to bring at least one of these Pyro characters for you to be able to light torches or campfires easily.

Use Heat Sources to Stay Warm

Heat sources like campfires, heat monuments, torches, and Scarlet Quartz can help you stay warm, so it is important to interact with your environment to battle the effects of Sheer Cold.

Use Warming Bottles or Eat Goulash

Goulash

The Warming Bottle and Goulash dish provide you protection from the effects of Sheer Cold. While you can only stay warm in an area when using the Warming Bottle, the Goulash dish will decrease the Sheer Cold's accumulation.

It is recommended to at least have one of these in your inventory when trying to do this quest.
