''Whirlpool off to Starboard... Full Speed Ahead!'' is a time trial challenge with two courses: the Waverider Boat Race and the Wind Glider Race. You will need to speed through both seaborne and airborne course to finish the challenge.

Collect Wavesplitter Insignias

Wavesplitter Insignias are coins you can collect during the ''Whirlpool off to Starboard... Full Speed Ahead!'' challenge. The more Wavesplitter Insignias you collect, the higher your score will be!

How to get 30,000 Points

Your score depends on the amount of Wavesplitter Insignias you collected and the trial's remaining challenge time. To get the highest scores on each course, you have to collect as much Wavesplitter Insignias as you can, while going as fast as you can!

Be sure to reach the checkpoints!

If you take shortcuts and skip checkpoints, the next course won't appear and you will go off-track! Complete each checkpoint to stay on-course and finish faster.

Destroy Hilichurl Towers!

Hilichurl Watchtowers give you 2 Wavesplitter Insignias when destroyed. Shoot them down with your Waverider Cannon to get a higher score!

Look right for the Wind Glider course

Adjust your camera to the right for the Wind Glider course so you don't miss the first air current!

Collect Wavesplitter Insignias!

When your air course takes you through an island, it's best to slow down and make sure you get the last 5 Wavesplitter Insignias in a row.

Tips to Get 30,000 Points on Day 2

Be sure to complete each checkpoint!

If you take shortcuts and skip checkpoints, the next course won't appear and you will go off-track! Complete each checkpoint to stay on-course and finish faster.

Destroy the Hilichurl Watchtowers early

Shoot the Hilichurl Towers from a distance if you can! The Wavesplitter Insignias might take some time to spawn, so it's best to destroy them early.

Shoot the Exploding Barrel on the turn

The course will have a sharp right turn with an exploding barrel. Shoot the barrel so you can quickly and easily make the turn!

Look right for the Wind Glider course

When beginning the air course, adjust your camera to the right so you don't miss the air currents!

Tips to Get 30,000 Points on Day 3

Follow the Charged Particles closely!

Aside from boosting the Waverider's Accelerate Skill, Charged Particles can also lead you to the right direction!

Adjust the camera in advance when turning!

This course has a lot of twists and turns so adjusting the camera in advance will help when you're turning the corner.

Make sure not to miss Towers!

The water girdles give a huge boost in speed so be careful not to miss the Hilichurl Towers. It will generate two Wavesplitter Insignias so make sure not to miss them!

Beware of enemies at the end point!

There are Hilichurls near the end point. Be prepared to battle them at the end of the challenge. Though, you can select the Try Again option to avoid that entirely!

Tips to Get 30,000 Points on Day 4

Attack 4 Hilichurl Watchtowers

To collect the first 8 Wavesplitter Insignias, use your Waverider Cannon to shoot the Hilichurl Watchtowers. The coins will spawn as long as you knock the Hilichurls in the water, even if you don't destroy the towers!

Ignore the big enemy base

The course will take you through a big enemy base in of the water. Just sail through the middle because you won't get any coins from attacking it!

Collect the last coins while gliding

The last 5 Wavesplitter Insignias are collected during the Wind Glider course. Be careful and take your time, as you might miss them if you hurry!

Tips to Get 30,000 Points on Day 5

Get off the Waverider

For the first part, get out of the Waverider to collect the first 3 Wavesplitter Insignias and return to the Waverider right away.

Go around the Wind Currents

For the next set of Insignias, get out of the Waverider again and ride along the Wind Currents to collect 3 more Wavesplitter Insignias. Ride along the Wind Currents again to return to the Waverider.

Land on the Platform

For the next set of Insignias, get out of the Waverider once again and land on the platform to collect up to 6 more Wavesplitter Insignias. Return to the Waverider after collecting all of the Insignias.

Collect the Last Insignia

For the final Insignia, leave the Waverider one last time and ride the Wind Currents to collect the Last Wavesplitter Insignia on the wooden platform.

Tips to Get 30,000 Points on Day 6

Jump off the Waverider

For the first part of the course, jump off the Waverider to collect 4 Wavesplitter Insignias. Afterwards return to the Waverider and continue the course.

Destroy the Hilichurl Watchtowers

Shoot the Hilichurl Watchtowers from a distance. Avoid the whirlpools nearby while you're at it, as going in one will destroy the Waverider.

Collect a Line of Insignias

After destroying the Hilichurl Watchtowers, you will find a line of 6 Wavesplitter Insignias along the way.

Maneuver through the Obstacles

There will be blockades along the way, steer your way out it by following the line of Charged Particles.

Ride Along the Wind Current

After getting past the blockades, leave the Waverider behind and ride along the Wind Current and collect the last 3 Wavespliiter Insignias.

Follow the Sea Breeze

There will be a visible air current during the course that will indicate the direction you need to go. You should align your boat with the Sea Breeze to get a smooth start to the course!

Go through Water Girdles

The circular hoops of water you see during the course are Water Girdles. These Water Girdles boost your speed and help you finish the race faster!

Defeat Enemies for Coins

Hilichurl Watchtowers will be scattered throughout the course. Destroy these towers with your Waverider Cannon to get some Wavesplitter Insignias! Tip: you can also aim for the exploding barrels beside the towers!

Collect Charged Particles to Accelerate

Charged Particles are the glowing orbs that accelerate the Waverider when collected. Be sure to follow the Charged Particle trail to go as fast as you can!
