For an uptime of 30 seconds, u are instead rewarded by 3 seconds and have smaller cooldown In a way, c1 Childe is awarded the longer he stays in melee and 20% reduction in cooldown gives increasing return for more uptime, and along the way allows for room for mistakes and lets you have the viable option of having Childe push on longer if needed

For people wondering if Childe c1 is any good- completely depends on u for c1-Consider everytime u change back to range, u get a 6 second penalty for staying the amount of time in melee(14 second melee time gets you 20 second cooldown) So now at c1, that cooldown is 16 second now...not much difference As pointed out by Reddit...for 16 second earlier uptime was 10, now it's 14 a 40% raise for 20% cooldown reduction (1/2)

Childe build according to me(DPS): Crit rate>Crit damage>Attack%>Energy recharge(substat priority)-keep crit rate to damage ratio 1:2 Hydro dmg goblet, attack timepiece but energy recharge also fine, crit damage crown if u have crit rate weapon otherwise crit rate mostly Weapon:Skyward harp(perfect)>Amos bow(Flat damage)>Rust(maybe up if refined)>Viridiscent hunt (without refine, decent as cyclone cooldown long but gives crit rate)

Is Viridescent hunt better or rust better?

i have both r2 rust r1 viridescent, and r1 stringless, i main him. what should i use?

>>39 I did think of windblume ode...but crafted Prototype Cresent...forgot I had a prototype billet for bow, works pretty decent for Childe, sadly reduces power for burst which Stringless provided but compensates well by overall damage up

For Childe, I have Stringless, Favonius, All 3*, and Black cliff or Royal bows as options, which do I go for? (Building him as carry in dual main dps setup, c0)

>>31 it's useable, for 6 seconds (it's a NO imo) , unless u have 60% crit rate which is quite impossible when using that bow, consider that bow as last option. But if u wanna play childe, just get him, u might get good bow later.
