Take One of Two Quests

Solo Venture is one of the two Quests that you can select, alongside the A Fine Opportunity? quest in Mondstadt. This means, that if you select either of the two quests, the other remaining one will remain locked.

Solo Venture Walkthrough

Talk to Jack

Once you approach Jack, he will tell about leaving two of his personal items in Thousand Winds Temple. He will ask you to fetch his belongings for him.

Look for Jack's Lost Items

Go to the Thousand Winds Temple and look for Jack's lost items. You'll have to find two of his belongings; his Map and his Adventurer's Handbook.

How to Look for Jack's Map

Jack's Map is located beneath a rundown temple column, lying atop of a dead tree stump. Be careful as there will be a group of Hilichurls that you'll encounter as you apporach this location.

How to Look for Jack's Adventurer's Handbook

Jack's Adventurer's Handbook is located right beside a small cliff, in the middle of a Hilichurl camp. The cliff is in north of the first location.

Report Back to Jack

Once you've obtained both items, report back to Jack in Mondstadt.

Replacement for A Fine Opportunity?

If you're unable to accept the A Fine Opportunity? quest before completing The Outlander Who Caught the Wind, it will be replaced by Solo Venture.
