Xiao is a lot better than people say and very F2P. Xiao, for one, should not have any problems with ER. As long as you have a somewhat decent anemo battery, there shouldn’t be a problem. Even the anemo traveler is a viable pick for this. Second, Xiao can do massive damage without his limited weapon. For the most part, crit rate or crit damage is what you want, so black/white tassel and black cliff are viable options. The artifacts don’t even have to be that good to do 15k or so per plunge.

>>43 as a xiao main, let me give an easy tips. if you have a favonious lance, the more refined the best, use it. it will give 6 energy every 6 sec. if your er is 150%, you get 9 energy. xiao can E twice, so gets 6*9=54 energy. his Q is 15 sec where he will generate around 9*2= 18 energy via favonious lance. After his Q use his E twice in the 3 sec cooldown. that totals 54+18=72 energy. then go back to hulk mode and smash the sh*t out of every hater 😎
