Game is changing and we have to accept the fact that old chars like Ayaka are going to die, I'm still using Hu Tao in abyss while Ayaka is kinda bad rn, that doesn't mean she's bad, just that she can't shine as much as other chars. I sometimes bench Hu Tao for hyperbloom, Raiden hypercarry or Navia, that's because meta changes. Ayaka is bad? Maybe, but more than 'bad' it's more a matter of 'there are better choises', so yeah, if I have to keep only one between her and Hu Tao I'd go with Hu Tao
Hu Tao is still hanging in there but meta goes on and she's being left behind by new chars like Neuv, we are not saying she's hidden 7 star pyro archon, we're just saying she's slightly better than Ayaka rn, maybe Ayaka was better before, but as of meta in this moment, Hu Tao wins
Hu Tao and Ayaka haver here, seriously Ayaka does good dmg but she's not a god, she is not and will never be in the same tier as doss like Neuv. I'm not saying Hu Tao is as good as Neuv, neither that she is leagues above Ayaka, she's just a good DPS even all those years, while Ayaka's era came to an end. Ngl Ayaka was really broken when she was released, as Hu Tao was the queen of the game back in 1.x and early 2.x, but rn Ayaka is not as broken as before
and nah, xl not 'by far' better, lol. shes strong but cant work without bennet and high investment into plenty of various stats. also circle impact is cringe gameplay overall

ayaka shits on every dps, imagine thinking an overated pyro dps is better, also xiangling is by far the best pyro dps compared to every 5 star pyro dps
hu taos release was before ayaya but shes still very good character even now. think about it. mb ayaya is just overrated wet socks waifu and weeb bait, not a good unit who have good battle value lol

AYAKA is powercrept to measly S tier now, seriously? What's the point of getting the current SS tier characters if they are just going to get powercrept to that degree within a year at this point. Scam.

i was so excited i met a c6 miko in that coop cuz she is widely known as ss c6 dps. but boi was i disappointed when it was my lvl 80 c0 lyney without 5* bow who had to do most of the dmg against that narwhal 🤦

tldr, a sub dps doing 20k dmg is good, but Miko isn't worth SS even C6
Yeah I know, I just wanted to say that on field dps should be dishing the most dmg, but ofc well invested subs can be godly off field. My point was, with equal investment, a sub dps's role should be to help your main dps to deal more dmg, to enable reactions or fill in the spots when your main can't deal dmg (like skill and ult cooldown)
whale yelan, xiangling, xq with nuke build are all sub dps who compete equally with main dps
her e4 sounds insane but then she is electro so its hard to squeeze out big dmg. 0 × 100 is still 0.
ive seen whale investment c6 xiangling can hit more than her tho. even a whale i know said miko c6 is not all that.
