All these people ranking characters based on teams don't know how to play the game at all the calcs are made based on individual character value

News flash: 1) I was obviously being reductionist. 2) I wasn't strictly referring to Skirk, though she still does do solid doing "just hE+Q" in the game's eyes. 3) And the game CLEARLY doesn't balance itself around the longer/advanced combos. It's doing roster checks above all else.

Fischl depends on another Hexerei character to get her buff active, while this buff isn't that great without her C6. Ofc she deserves SS but "Fischl is better" is not an argument to say Ororon is bad. For example, he's the 4th slot of Mavuika's Overload, which is a second-class team (Skirk, Nefer, Varesa, Flins). That's something Fischl doesn't have. He's also the best option to replace Ineffa (after Fischl) on Flins teams, and a stronger Sub DPS than her on Taser teams.
Okay so basiclly, Nahida has two problems: Versatility against Waves, and being basiclly a weaker Lauma. Nahida always had problems against multiple Waves of enemies since she can't recast her buff. This makes her less flexible than Lauma as Support unless you're playing on-field Nahida. The second problem is that Lauma is just better, so Nahida has no teams where she's a BIS. That's why S is fair, since she's still good but not enough to be a better pull than Lauma.
S is a fair ranking for Ororon. He literally is part of the second best team of the game before Columbina (Mavuika Overload) while his C6 is strong enough to keep relevant despite Hexerei Fischl is there.
Iansan is on the best team of the game (Mavuika) but also on the best teams of Varesa, Clorinde, Chasca and Kinich. While Xilonen is weaker than Iansan (KQMS) for Mavuika but let's say it's a tie tbh. Well, C2 Iansan is still better with Varesa, Clorinde and Kinich. Xilonen also lost recently Mualani's best team due to Sucrose + Mona so she's less relevant despite she's such a versatile Support. She's still strong enough to be on SS for a long time but isn't better than Iansan.
Varesa's best team is with Dual DPS Mavuika, not with Durin. If you execute CDCDCF, the team's DPS is about 124.000 (Skirk/Nefer level) while Durin variante has a better QoL but is 116.000 DPS. It's still better than Arlecchino according to KQMS btw. Saying "Both of mine are <certain level of investment> so they're paired" isn't accurate since there's cons that benefit more a character than other. For example Flins/Mualani gets more benefit from C1 than Varesa/Arlecchino.

Lauma is a rare case of a direct upgrade on a character. Nahida is still very good but Lunabloom just offers directly better DPS. The tiers thus reflect this.
nahinda is the weakest link in nefer team and you can replace her with ineffa and have good sustain with the dps 150k honestly with Lauma release there is no point in using nahida anywhere .even s tier is high cause ineffa and escoffier are better than her
that's because this tier list is bs
Why is Nahida considered S-tier for support? Her support capabilities have not been power-crept by Lauma, because both of them do different things. They work in harmony to boost Nefer’s damage
hey there, thanks for pointing that out! I just come back to add a comment to correct my previous comments, but saw your reply. I got it now! I was completely forgotten the fact that Ororon is stuck with Electrocharged. I was like "oh Cinder City! 40% buff! Ororon should be at least S", forgetting that major downside. Sorry bud, honestly didn't meant it as an insult. Just another case of my memory acting out as usual lol Btw, mine are c6 Fischl and C2 Ororon
