Hoyoverse needs to keep a good balance on earning money and giving a high-quality game to the players. They kept that balance for most of the game, but absolutely ruined it in natlan.
For what? Baizhu exists, yes he's a 5* but he's a 5* Yaoyao. 'Simply to get money' Ya that's mostly why Hoyo makes products, and at the end of the day all these characters are products. So not getting attached IS good advice. I don't agree, Escoffier buff's ALL cryo, Yes DPS wants best in slot Support but that's been the case since Kazuha released. At least by now we know the rule; limited wishes? Then take Support over DPS. Every time.
I know she's pretty good, it's just the current meta is not about dendro reactions.
Yaoyao is literally the best healer in the game, to me that seems like a good unit. Yes Chevreuse is even better but... I don't wanna pull on this banner, so no Chevreuse is good for me lol
DW, in 3 weeks they'll release another cockblock boss that you can't defeat without Ineffa and the 6.0 bow DPS dude and Skirk will be left with no usage anyway.
Would be perfect with Chevreuse or Fischl instead of dendro loli.
honestly, just save your money and get a wriothesley/ayaka if you like cryo. cheaper to build, lots of f2p teams, and so much better than skirk(assuming skirk isnt high investment)
the game has been going in a downward spiral for quite a bit since natlan, but skirk was the nail on the coffin. She needs to be played in one specific team, with esco, furi, shenhe, needs her broken sig that works with nobody else besides skirk, and hoyo baited for her so fucking much by making all the endgame content want skirk. honestly, skirk was released simply to get money
And im not saying its THAT bad now but skirk and escoffee is clearly starting a shift in the way hoyo is making their characters, which they look like theyll continue (Ineffa and the electro dps in 6.0)
iansan is broken with characters who move a lot (natlan chars, plunge dps, clorinde) xiangling is a fucking beast without icd yaoyao has insane teamwide healing and is amazing in just about any dendro team
genshin is going in a horrible downward spiral, but at least hoyo was nice enough to give us the best rate up four stars for 5.7 phase 2 we've ever seen.
Iansan is niche too because she needs characters that move alot (mavuika, plungers, kinch). My point is that the niche buffers i mentioned are better than the more flexible ones, and if you want to do endgame modes (abyss, it, stygian onslaught) you will need both. And as time passes its not just the buffers that are being locked to certain dps's but even the dps's are being locked to certain supports i.e skirk cant use iansan, xilonen or ororon, but REALLY wants escoffee.
Iansan ? Xilonen ? you can use them in a lot of team with their universal buff/debuff/heal, or did you deliberately not mention them just to complain? Even Ororon is pretty good for a recent flexible support character
And ontop of that this whole system is combined with genshins stupid core design, which is designed to make you stay and play longer (character levels, talent levels, weapon levels, artefacts and RESIN), so yeah when im finally able to level up these niche characters for their niche challenges THE NEW CYCLE IS ALREADY HERE. I love genshin but i HATE the direction its going in. Thankyou for listening and now i must go build skirk.
Every support character now is EXTREMELY niche, not just buffing 1 or 2 reactions but even being made to fit for ONE new dps playstyle, most of the time being right next to each other in patches so players are forced to spend (Citlali-Mavuika, Escoffier-Skirk, and now probably Ineffa-The Electro Lightkeeper). Like bro, you want me to grind for all these characters to pass a challenge specifically designed for them and ONLY THEM, which lasts max 1 patch before a NEW ONE comes later?!
i'm wrong about skirk, not even they tailor made a set of characters go with each other, now they made a boss that specific for that playstyle only. Genshin is now placed on bad and expensive category by me. Not recommended
the gameplay now is only revolved around spending your whole year just to save primos for a set of characters that only solve a really niche problem that they themself created, and they're still go on refuse to fix the game. I'm done with this game, it's been "good" 8 patches for me
at this point, im practically forced to pull for both a character and a sig. as an f2p, if i fail to get the signature, the character becomes bad. if i fail to get the character, i cant use the sig on anyone else. its like they literally want f2p players to quit and only whales playing smh
i dont think hoyo remembers that they were the ones who made the players quit in the first place by forcing us to pull sigs/chars that get powercreeped later. why try to get back former players when you can correct your original mistake that made players quit?
