So, you only need "just survive" the first phase? Means the fight goes over to second phase by just running away like a coward and not attack Boreas at all? Because THAT'S literally YOUR wording.

Here's what I learn in this boss fight: 1. Save your stamina and double evade away his Ice-center attack. This is un-blockable, beware of your hp chipping. 2. Keep attacking at his sides, you'll dodge his claw swipe easily. 3. 2nd Phase, keep distance to get the right Varka jump on the first pillar. Move the camera on other 2 pillars and you'll be jumping skill just fine. 4. Always Pick the fire particle to recover HP and skill attacks. Finish the boss fight as you want.
The problem is, you can't interact the red sword as long as the Lone Wolf Boss is in the area. So you cannot face the Level 90 Shadow Boreas yet. Plus Beating a level 90 Homesick Lone wolf must prioritize first. This is not Saga Frontier 2: because your level 20 Varka cannot make your boss fight level equal to yours. The boss is perma 90 level so it is way far stupid and take long long time to chip out smallest damage.
I mean....the not requiring a quest thing is valid but they weren't SAYING that Varka needs to be over level 20. They're saying he has to be at a reasonable level in order to actually BEAT the quest. Yeah it's phrased weirdly but it's pretty obvious that they're trying to say that you're not going to be beating the quest with a level 20 Varka unless you're a god gamer that can avoid taking damage even ONCE and are willing to spend hours fighting.
This whole post is objectively wrong. You don't have to do any quest and Varka can be under level 20. I have 100% exploration in the area, but haven't touched any of the new content other than the red sword and was immediately able to face the Shadow.
