How to Unlock The Realm of Clouds
Meet the Requirements for Lantern Rite 2026
You must complete the Song of the Dragon and Freedom quest and Reach Adventure Rank 26 in order to gain access to the quest and the event itself!
Recommended Quests
It is highly recommended to complete the True Moon Quest first before starting The Realm of Clouds as some of the events that occured in the former are referenced during the latter.
The Realm of Clouds Walkthrough
Go to Liyue Harbor
Once you have met the requirements for the quest, Paimon will immediately tell you to visit Liyue for Lantern Rite. Go to Liyue Harbor to see the festivities, and you will see Yaoyao and Qiqi practicing making Xiao Lanterns.
Go to Third Round Knockout
After talking with Yaoyao and Qiqi, go to Third Round Knockout to find Zhongli. Upon arriving, you'll instead find Hu Tao, Xiangling, Chongyun, and Xingqiu showcasing a picture of the moon being eclipsed and telling a story about what happened in Wanmin Restaurant between Shenhe and a rowdy customer.
The Picture Xiangling Showed to the Group
Xiangling took the picture from the rowdy customer in Wanmin Restaurant and then proceeded to show it to the group during their gathering. It showcases a moon being eclipsed by a smaller moon.
Go to Yujing Terrace
Hearing the story of what happened in Wanmin Restaurant, go to Yujing Terrace to understand more of what happened. Once you have arrived, you'll be greeted by Ningguang, Keqing, and Lan Yan talking about the Lunar Eclipse that occured in Chenyu Vale, and it might be related to the customer, who is now named Lu Xiangxiang, as she extracted artifacts from The Chasm days prior.
Go to Bubu Pharmacy
With Keqing, go to Bubu Pharmacy and meet up with Baizhu to check up on Lu Xiangxiang. Baizhu states that Lu Xiangxiang is shocked more than she is ill. Due to her current condition, Baizhu informed you to visit again in two days.
Having more errands to do, Keqing separates from the group and tells you go to the exhibition.
Talk to Manmu
In order to go aboard the boat where the exhibition is held, talk to Manmum and she will take you aboard. She is located near the Lantern in Liyue Harbor. Zhongli will immediately greet you upon arriving, alongside Beidou and Yun Jin.
Browse the Exhibition
Check out the artifacts presented in the exhibition with Zhongli, Beidou, and Yun Jin. Approach Yun Jin first to check out an ancient painting of Zhanzhu the Moon-Devourer and the White Horse Adeptus.
Browse Further with Zhongli
After Beidou bought the Chariot artifact to brag about with Ningguang, she and Yun Jin depart from the group. Follow Zhongli further in the exhibition to browse more artifacts until stopping at the edge of the exhibition, where the Six Ritual Jades are located.
Approach the Light
Touching one of the Six Ritual Jades with the crescent moon. You'll be teleported in unknown place. Approach the light to find your way out. While in there, you will encounter Zibai's Heavenly Soul — Taiguang, which is a soul of Zibai separated through the Three Deadly Selves.
Zhongli will tell you that Zibai is starting to disintegrate due to the Frost Moon being back in Teyvat. Zhongli will tell you to find one of the other two missing souls of Zibai and the quest is concluded!
