Narzissenkreuz Institute Lore and Members

It is revealed that Alain Guillotin was the one who created Sandrone, The Marionette. The 7th Harbinger told this herself during the Where Our Time and Space Intersect subquest of the A Traveler on a Winter's Night Archon Quest.
The dialogue saying this happens when the players will be controlling Pulonia to help Sandrone look for documents that are surrounding her.
Sandrone (Marionette) Profile and Details

Alain was raised as an orphan in the Narzissenkreuz Institute by Basil Elton. He studied in the Institute of Natural Philosophy, which is one of the historical places in Fontaine that is now submerged underwater.
However, during the Cataclysm, the Narzissenkreuz Institute was disbanded when Basil Elton died trying to protect it. The orphans in the organization was later adopted by its trusted people.

Alain devoted his entire life to research, such as developing the Arkhe System, creating the Pneuma and Ousia, and designing and programming the Mekas and other prototypes around Fontaine.
He also the inventor of Seymour, whose sole purpose is to accompany and protect her adoptive sister, Mary Ann. Additionally, Seymour and Mary Ann are both seen in the Narzissenkreuz World Quests.
Alain, along with Jakob and Rene, all went to the Fontaine Research Institute after the disbandment of the Narzissenkreuz Institute. During Alain's time there, he also had an sickly assistant who helped him with his research.
Later, Alain found out that Jakob and Rene has been conducting experiments on his assistant in the hopes of curing its sickness with the use of their own research about the remains of the first Hydro Archon, Egeria, and Elynas, the “Father” of the Melusines.
However, Jakob and Rene's experiment failed which lead to Alain's assistant's unfortunate death. Afterward, Alain's friendship with Jakob and Rene deteriorated over the years.

Eventually, Alain became a member of the Marechaussee Phantom special detective unit with Mary Ann due to his innovative research on the Mekas. This gradually helped the investigation unit's work.
During his time as a detective, he stumbled upon the Narzissenkreuz Ordo, which a secret society founded by their siblings, Jakob and Rene, and is a high-level threat to the Court of Fontaine.
He later confronted Jakob and Rene about the Narzissenkreuz Ordo and their plans. Rene tried recruiting Alain to the Ordo to help him with his research in saving the human civilization from the impending apocalypse. Alain later refused due to what happened with his assistant and Rene's research years before.

During the A Traveler on a Winter's Night Archon Quest, Sandrone used all of the documents she gathered from Fontaine to come up with a plan to stop The Doctor. These documents mostly belonged to Alain Guillotin.
She tried to deduce all of Alain's work, along with Rene's understanding of the world formula and the Doomsday Clock. Additionally, players will be controlling Pulonia during this time to try to help scan for documents for Sandrone.
Then, during the True Moon Archon Quest, we can see the importance of Sandrone's plan and how it worked in stopping The Doctor's plans and his evil experiments in Nod-Krai.

Alain appears in a Marechaussee Phantom uniform in one of Neuvilette's flashbacks during the his Story Quest, The Remains of the Past Day.
