How to Beat the Battle-Scarred Rock Crab
Use Bloom On Stoneborne Seeds
For most of the fight, the Battle-Scarred Rock Crab will summon Stoneborne Seeds around the arena, which can be activated with Bloom Cores by detonating them close to the Seeds.
These seeds will then fly towards the Rock Crab, damaging it. This will be your secondary source of damage, so make sure to maintain a steady rotation of Dendro and Hydro.
Prepare Bloom When Enemy Ward is Up
At regular intervals, the Crab will float into the air and channel an ability that will one-shot your active character, but will also fill the arena with Stoneborne Seeds.
Detonate Bloom cores near them in order to send them back to the Crab as fast as possible, bringing it down and stunning it, and preventing it from pushing through with the one-shot mechanic.
Only Bloom-Based Teams Are Recommended
Due to the Stoneborne Seed mechanic, it becomes imperative to adhere to its mechanics and bring teams that deal Bloom, Hyperbloom, Lunar-Bloom, or Burgeon damage.
It is worth noting that while Burgeon is a viable option, it does have Pyro presence, which may accidentally ignite the seeds and deal damage to your team.

Bring Hydro and Dendro Units
Due to the boss mechanics, bringing a team that, at the very least, is capable of generating Bloom cores is a must. These usually fall onto at least having Hydro and Dendro units on your team.
Your chosen DPS will usually be one of the two elements as they can not only bring formidable damage, but can also generate Bloom cores against the Battle-Scarred Rock Crab.
Bring Lauma for Lunar-Bloom
Lauma's presence enables the team to perform Lunar-Bloom instead, which is far more effective at dealing damage against the Crab, and is capable of CRIT attacks.
If you have Lauma, then try to build a team around her as her kit is perfectly tailored to counter this boss and its mechanics.
