How to Use Kuuvahki Relay Mechanism

Call Lightning Bolts

Kuuvahki Relay Mechanisms are usually found in strong Kuuvahki environments where Kuuvahki thunderstorms are persistent, and for good reason: they attract lightning strikes easily.

Carrying one will summon a lightning bolt at your position.

Use Lightning Strikes to Solve Puzzles

Solve Puzzles Using Lightning

In strong Kuuvahki environments, you may find puzzle elements such as bots that require lightning strikes. When in an empowered state, carry the Relay Mechanism and position yourself close to these puzzle elements.

Then, simply wait for a lightning strike. Do these to the corresponding puzzle elements that need it. Note that you can only carry one Relay Mechanism at a time. If there are two, you can drop one near a puzzle element for the same effect!

Lightning Strikes Also Create Unipolar Fields

A lightning strike in a strong Kuuvahki environment leaves behind unipolar fields that propel you high up when you’re in the empowered state.

Since Kuuvahki Relay Mechanisms summon lightning strikes, they can also be used to create unipolar fields in a desired location. All you need to do is position yourself properly, wait for the lightning strike, then jump.

What Are Kuuvahki Relay Mechanisms?

Metal Objects that Attract Lightning

Kuuvahki Relay Mechanisms are spherical metal objects unique to Nod-Krai that are heavily charged with Kuuvahki. As a result, they attract lightning very easily.

This effect is evident during the World Quest, The Power of Research.

Kuuvahki charged lightning absolutely WILL damage your character until you finish the Power of Research quest line. I almost died while trying to get a couple chests while holding a relay stone before finishing this quest. Once the entire quest is done the NPC will give you something to protect you from Kuuvahki lightning, and then it will be totally harmless.
