How to Unlock The Power of Research Quest Guide
Talk to Fanngel at Nothing Passage
The Power of Research World Quest is located to the left of the Nothing Passage in Lempo Isle. Use the Teleport Waypoint and head towards the big metal ball.
Fanngel will call out to you and ask for your help with his Airspace Data Collector. This will start the Power of Research quest.
The Power of Research Walkthrough
Push Each Assembly Module To The Correct Orientation And Position
After talking to Fanngel, he'll ask you to push the Assembly Modules to the correct position. You'll need to push all three sections of the Assembly Modules to proceed.
The blue highlighted part should be facing the collector once it reaches the end of the line. The robots beside the end of the line will display a check mark if you did it correctly and a cross if its incorrect.
Assembly Modules Mechanism Guide
First Assembly Modules Puzzle Solutions

| 1 | For the first puzzle, pull the module using the red side then push it using the side with a blue circle. It will push the module straight to the end with the blue highlighted part facing the data collector. |
| 2 | For the second puzzle, push the blue circle side once and since the highlighted part is already facing the data collector, push it again towards the end to complete it. |
| 3 | For the third puzzle, push it using the blue circle side then rotate it once so the blue highlighted part faces the data collector. Push it once right after and it'll reach the end of the line. |
Push Second Batch of Assembly Modules To The Correct Position
After completing the first batch of Assembly Modules, talk to Fanngel and you'll be asked do another one. This time, the second batch has two modules per section instead of one. The same rules for completing each section from before still apply.
Second Assembly Modules Puzzle Solutions

| 1 | Move the first module toward the isolated module so they bind together. Then, move the bound modules forward. Move the last module forward so its next to the first module, then rotate the first module to push it forward to the end. Next, push the last module forward so it goes to the end line. |
| 2 | For the second puzzle, move the first module forward so it pushes the other module towards the platform. Rotate the second module so the highlighted side faces the data collector then push it to the end. Lastly, push the first module to the platform and rotate it also, then push it to the end line to finish the puzzle. |
| 3 | For the third puzzle, reset the modules first. After the reset, move the first module to the end immediately then move the second module to the platform. Rotate the second module so the highlighted side faces the data collector then push it to the end to finish the puzzle. |
Push Last Batch of Assembly Modules To The Designated Position
Go back and talk to Fanngel after pushing the second batch of Assembly Modules. He'll ask you to do another one and this time, you'll need to push three modules per section. The same rules from earlier still apply for this batch of modules.
Third Assembly Modules Puzzle Solutions

| 1 | For the first puzzle, move the first module toward the center platform then push it towards the end. Next, move the second module to the center platform and rotate it twice. Push the second module to the end and then push the last module to the center. Rotate the last module so the highlighted part faces the data collector, then push it to the end. |
| 2 | For the second puzzle, rotate the first module so the highlighted side faces the collector then push it to the end. Push the third module so it pushes the second module towards the platform. Rotate the second module then push it forward. Lastly, move the third module all the way to the platform. Rotate the last module and then push it forward to complete the puzzle. |
Find The Crashed Collector And Recover The Experiment Data
After completing the last batch of Assembly Modules, the data collector will fly and then crash. Fanngel will ask you to find it and recover the data. Go to the highlighted area just past the cliff and you'll see the crashed data collector below.
Go inside the crashed collector and interact with the monitor to receive the Well-Preserved Punch Tape item. Go back to Fanngel and inform him of what you found.
Collect High Altitude Data
After talking to Fanngel, he'll ask you to wait a day. Skip the time to tomorrow then talk to Fanngel again. He'll ask you to collect high altitude data for him using a lightning orb.
Use Lightning Orb to Light Up Lightning Rod
Use the orb and go to the lightning rod nearby. Let lightning strike the rod and once it lights up, jump to gather data. Do this multiple times until the gauge is filled, then talk to Fanngel once more to complete the quest. You'll also receive the Airspace Data Collector 2.0 item.
