How to Unlock Sigurd Valiant Chronicle
Complete the Bell of Mourning Echoes Quest
Unlocking Sigurd as a Valiant Chronicle and Local Legend requires you to first complete the quest "The Bell of Mourning Echoes".
You can find the start of this quest proper by going to Nasha Town and interacting with the two Lightkeepers after acquiring Sigurd's three relics.

Sigurd Valiant Chronicle Location
After completing the quest, you may revisit the Sigurd's location which can be found near the right edge of Lempo Isle in Nod-Krai, near his original gravestone.
The best way to reach Sigurd is to take the Teleport Waypoint west of his arena, then drop down the cliff until you reach Sigurd's location.

When building a team against Sigurd, you need to prioritize on strong damage in order to reduce the amount of time it takes to beat him while he is in his Wild Hunt phase.

General Strategy
Take Your Time on the First Phase
Sigurd's Phase 1 is his more time-consuming phase as he has plenty of HP and functions as a hard-hitting but slow-moving boss. Be careful of his attacks, especially his AoE Demonsbane Strike.
When he is at 10% HP or below, recharge your Elemental Energy in preparation for his Phase 2.
Overwhelm with Damage on Second Phase
When his Phase 2 starts, indicated by a portion of his health bar turning gray, you must deplete his health bar then continue to deal heavy damage to permanently increase the gray bar and reduce his maximum HP.
Once you fill out his health bar with gray, he will finally fall and you will be victorious.
Sigurd Valiant Chronicle Objectives
Defeat Local Legend: Sigurd
This should be as straightforward as it gets. Defeating Sigurd allows you to achieve the first objective.
Avoid getting hit by Sigurd's Demonsbane Strike.
During the fight, Sigurd will do an AoE Electro attack. It's evident by the AoE marker surrounding him. Avoid it by getting out of its range.
Dodging and utlizing invincibility frames are viable options.
Eliminate all lured Wilderness Exiles before Sigurd can act
Upon reaching 0 HP in his Phase 1, Sigurd will lure in Wilderness Exile. Defeat it before Sigurd reaches them. Sigurd would be docile for a few seconds before regaining his health, use the opportunity to defeat the Exiles as soon as possible.
Bring Moonsign characters like Lauma or Aino to easily and quickly beat the Exiles.
