Complete the Blues of the Old World Quest
To unlock Crimson Cleansing, you must have completed the previous subquest of Colors of Emptiness, Blues of the Old World!

Investigate the Strange Light Orb
At the start of the quest, you'll find yourself at the other end of the Nothing Passage. The strange light orb, which is now red, will be in front of a cracked container just up ahead.
Approach the light orb and direct your empowered state energy towards the crack in the contrainer. This will break open the container and make the light orb move once more.

Look for the Strange Light Orb
The light orb will chase after a blue kuuhenki and end up in another one of the storage containers nearby. You'll need to break open one of the containers to reach the light orb inside.
Afterwards, the light orb will take control of a Landcruiser and go into an area that's blocked by an energy barrier.
How to Look for the Strange Light Orb

| 1 |  On the right side of the container you just broke open, look for a smaller container with a red Unipolar Field on top of it. |
| 2 |  Climb onto the small container and direct your camera upwards to shoot open the topmost container by the Fatui insignia. |
| 3 |  Jump while standing on the Unipolar Field and glide to the topmost container. Be sure to drop down through the other hole inside the container to reach the area where the light orb is. |
| 4 |  As you approach the red light orb, it'll make its escape towards the area up ahead. Take the first path that appears on your left to find an energy barrier. |
| 5 | Shoot at the pile of debris on the other side of the barrier to free the ID card. After bringing it closer, scan the ID card on the Barrier Generators from left to right. You can climb onto the crates to reach the last generator that's high up. |
| 6 |  Head further into the small cave to find the Landcruiser that the light orb took control of. |
Defeat all Opponents
Approaching the Landcruiser in the area will cause it to turn hostile. You must defeat it first to progress onwards.
Investigate the Nearby Area
Inspect the glowing spot that the light orb stopped in front of. You'll discover that the orb is probably attracted to the blue stones inside the container.
While in the empowered state, direct your energy at all the blue stones and break them open. In the process, you can also gather some Rainbowdrop Crystals for future use!
Follow the Strange Light Orb
With the blue stones gone, the light orb will make its move again. As it floats through the passage, you must clear the path by shooting down walls that are in the orb's way.

| 1 |  Follow the light orb out of the cave and into the secret path that it opens up. There will be two walls you need to break. You might need to stand a bit behind the orb to properly aim and shoot down the walls. |
| 2 |  Continue onwards to reach the next obstacles. Stand behind the light orb and shoot some of the first two layers down so that the backmost wall can be aimed at. Once the remaining layers disappear again, shoot the backmost wall to clear the path. |
| 3 |  Move closer to the light orb again and shoot down the last wall in the secret passage. |
Shoot Down the Bots
Once the light orb leaves the secret passage, it will get caught by a mechanism in the air. To shoot down the bot, drop down onto one of the Unipolar Fields below and use it to jump high in the air.
While the bot is in view, direct your energy at the top of the bot to shoot it down. A cutscene will play out after freeing the light orb.

Anonymous about 1 monthYou can actually do this one first and then the blue side second I learned last night, because I ended up doing exactly that when I stumbled across the red side first and followed it to the center, then continued through til I reached the blue one and then proceeded to do that side until they both met in the center.

So when i was in that one room with golden chest, the enemy didnt turned hostile, there was nothing, i tried logging out and everything, but nothing happened, idk what to do at this point
