Genshn Impact's discontinuation and removal from the PS4 device and PlayStation Store will happen in three phases over the next handful of months, ending on April 8, 2026 .
Removed From the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025
It was announced that starting on September 10, 2025 06:00 (UTC+8), Genshin Impact on PS4 will be removed from the PlayStation Store, and only accounts that have already previously downloaded Genshin Impact will be able to access or redownload it.
Accounts of PlayStation™Network that have previously downloaded Genshin Impact can still re-download it at any time via the Store's Library, even if the game is deleted from the device.
In-Game and PlayStation Shop Purchases Stopped on February 25, 2026
On February 25, 2026, in-app purchases for Genshin Impact on PS4 will be removed from the PlayStation Store and in-game shops. This means Genesis Crystals, the Adventurer's Bundle, and Blessing of the Welkin Moon will no longer be available for purchase on the PS4.
Any items purchased but not yet claimed from the PlayStation Store in-game can still be obtained by logging into Genshin Impact on PS4.
Version Updates Ended on April 8, 2026
Lastly, all update support for Genshin Impact on PS4 will be discontinued on April 8, 2026, and the PS4 game will no longer receive patch updates. If you still have the game downloaded on PS4, it will no longer receive updates.
Any items purchased from the PlayStation Store but not yet claimed can only be claimed by logging in using a PS5.
How to Save Your PS4 Genshin Impact Account
Cross-Save or Bind to Other Devices
Players are encouraged to bind their account to other login methods before the official discontinuation on April 8, 2026. You can bind your account by going to the Paimon Menu, selecting Settings and going to the User Center where you can find the Link Account option.
