you only need to freeze at certain moments. For me, it's "keep do only dodging, start my rotation as soon as i see one of the creatures teleport to the middle of the field". They have set rotation for their one shot move= start with King(king teleport to middle), then Queen, then King, then Queen, repeat until you kill them. Ya just need to dodge, and keep look out while amassing Energy for your rotation when they do teleportation. If you have a freeze team, try it. I bet you'll win
Ayaka can solo this boss. Each time you complete a charge and the fight resets to the second king and queen charges, they freeze about 50% faster and it goes even faster on a third round. Every Cryo DPS has enough Cryo application to freeze the king without a hydro character helping, including Escoffier. Most players die in 2nd phase to Vaporize from Pyro aura being applied on them by the king and getting hit by the queen's Hydro attack while Furina's skill is DPSing. Dodge and be aware.
There's not even really enough time to freeze even when you have them considering how much these bosses run all over the field. It's definitely an unnecessarily annoying and restrictive fight. I've got 17 pieces and plenty of dust so I'll probably skip it for the foreseeable future.

Freeze is pretty much non-optional here, unless you have a 5.4+ DPS that can outpace the king, or two expendable characters. With Genshin’s health creep, this is the least fun boss as it is either freeze or die. For all who want to crown skirk, I wish you best of luck, and try not to break your monitor from rage as the king drops a OHKO with no tech other than “buy good cryo characters, scrub.”
Basically just freeze or die because the super attacks kills you through bursts. I'm sick of new bosses and enemies shilling or even demanding new characters. It was fine in Fontaine with the Arkhe system because it was purely optional and didn't result in OHKOs if you couldn't do it. All this Nightsoul sh*t and now freeze shilling because of Skirk and Escoffier is plain stupid because you need it to NOT die unfairly.

Another Crap Boss. Why have a shielder if they also get killed b the wave. Press a command the game lags and hey you get killed. Wait for skill to refresh and it still doesn't blood freeze. Am really getting sick of recent upgrade. Kill by boredom and repeat action, wait, repeat, bored meanwhile dong other things and then it dies.
