Stage 5 requires a party member to trigger a Nightsoul Burst, which is an effect that activates whenever a party with a Natlan character deals any elemental DMG. This means you can have either a Main DPS, a Sub-DPS, or a Support be a Natlan character and the effects will easily activate.
For F2P, Kachina can trigger Nightsoul Burst for you!

This stage's buffs are highly significant, as simply activating a Nightsoul Burst gives you 65% Max HP, ATK, DEF, and 500 Elemental Mastery. As mentioned, you can trigger it by using any Elemental attack as long as you have a Natlan character in your party.
Any Natlan character shown above who can synergize with your Main DPS is best for the stage, especially if they can trigger it off-field, so try to abuse this buff with them if you can.

In addition, the aforementioned stage buff can stack three times, and the cooldown for each Nightsoul Burst counts down to 18/12/9s if you have 1/2/3 or more Natlan characters in your team, respectively.
You will know if a Nightsoul Burst is triggered when a sun-shaped visual effect appears on your screen.
| Recommended Skips | Seconds Remaining |
|---|---|
| Floor 15 → Floor 19 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: +20 Seconds Remaining Floor 19: Clear under 30 |
| Floor 15 → Floor 17 → Floor 19 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: 12~15 Seconds Remaining Floor 17: +12 Seconds Remaining Floor 19: Clear under 30 |
| Floor 15 → Floor 16 → Floor 19 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: -11 Seconds Remaining Floor 16: +16 Seconds Remaining Floor 19: Clear under 30 |
| Floor 15 → Floor 18 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: 16~19 Seconds Remaining Floor 18: +12 Seconds Remaining |
Floor 15 to Floor 17 consist of two relatively stationary enemies that don't have too much HP relative to the buffs the stage gives, which means you'll be able to skip easier on those floors.
| Remaining Seconds / Floors Skipped | ||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Floor | ~11s | +12s | +16s | +20s | +23s | +25s |
| ~13 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 |
| 14 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 4 |
| 15 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
| 16 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| 17 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 18 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 19 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| 22+ | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
In terms of easier skipping, Floor 15 should be the easier floor to get to Floor 19 if you can finish with 20 seconds remaining, but you have the option to skip from Floor 16 or 17 if you're having difficulties.
Either way, large enemies like the Ruin Graders and Geo Lawachurls are easier to deal damage with due to their size.

Floor 18 has floating and grounded Ruin Drakes which could potentially be annoying to deal with due to their movement and bloated HP. The floating Ruin Drake often hovers and rotates around you when you try to go melee, which may lead to DPS loss as it tries to move away from the other Ruin Drake.
Unless you have a wide AoE attacker, we recommend skipping from Floor 15 to 19, or Floor 17 to 19.
In terms of convenience, we found Floor 19 easier to handle than Floor 18. Although the HP is a bit higher, the Hilichurl Rogues are relatively more stationary than the Ruin Drakes of Floor 18, which means attacks especially for melee users are easier to cleave.
