Photo-Taking Spot 1 - A Legendary Beginning

Set the Time from 15:00 to 17:00 with a Sword Character

For the first stage of the Mementos of Teyvat, find Amber at the photo location in Mondstadt's Whispering Woods. Equip the Kamera, set the time to 15:00 to 17:00, then prepare a Sword Character before speaking with Amber.

When you're ready, speak with Amber to choose a pose and photo angle, then enter the designated area and start snapping pictures!

Wait for the Character's Idle Animation

The photo site for the second stage of the Mementos of Teyvat is Stormterror's Lair in Mondstadt. The Photo-Taking Point is located on top of the shattered bridge; use the wind currents to glide to the top.

Equip the Kamera and set the time between 04:00 and 06:00. You can use any character for this stage; simply step into the designated area and wait for the idle animation before hitting the picture.

Use a Liyue Character Late in the Morning

The third stage of the Mementos of Teyvat event takes place in the bridge leading into the City of Liyue. You will find Xiangling there and engage in quick dialogue before needing to equip your Kamera to take pictures.

Set the time to 10:00 to 14:00, prepare a Liyue Character or the Traveler, and be in the designated area before taking your pictures!

Wait for the Character's Idle Animation

The photo site for the fourth stage of the Mementos of Teyvat is an area just under Wangshu Inn in Liyue. The Photo-Taking Point can be found near the lake surrounding Wangshu Inn next to some Hilichurls.

Equip the Kamera, step into the designated area and wait for the Polearm character's idle animation before snapping your photo.

Use a Claymore Character by Sundown

Going up to the 5th Photo-Taking Spot by the Electro Archon statue in Inazuma, you will come across Kazuha, who will join you for this round of picture taking after a short exchange.

Equip your Kamera, stand in the designated spot with your desired Claymore character or the Traveler, set the time to 17:00 - 19:00, and snap those photos.

Do a Normal Attack Before Taking a Picture

For the 6th stage, you will be taking photos with an Electro character right at the very top of the Grand Narukami Shrine's set of stairs.

Stand in the designated area with your Electro character and perform a Normal Attack just before hitting the Kamera button.

Dendro Character in the Afternoon

The 7th Photo-Taking Spot for the Mementos of Teyvat Event is situated just East of the Sumeru Akademiya, overlooking the land around it. When getting there, you will find Collei, who will join you for some pictures after your conversation.

Equip your Kamera, stand in the designated spot with your desired Dendro character or the Traveler, set the time to 12:00 - 14:00, and strike those poses.

Run or Walk Into the Designated Area

For the 8th stage, you can find this spot northeast from the Mausoleum of King Deshret, near the Statue of the Seven. You will need a Polearm character for this one.

When getting into position for the photo, start some distance from the designated area, and either walk or run into it and snap that photo as soon as it fulfills the last objective.

Simply switch the time to 02:00 - 06:00, stand in the designated area with your Bow character and snap away.

Charged Attack Into the Designated Area

You can find the 10th Photo-Taking Spot near the Opera Epiclese in Fontaine, next to the Fountain of Lucine.

For this one, test out how far your character's Charged Attack pushes you forward, then adjust accordingly so that you are in the designated area in the middle of their Charged Attack before taking a picture.

Wait for the Idle Animation

This area takes place in the beach where the game begins, northeast of Mondstadt. Take the teleport waypoint there and move over to the Photo-Taking Spot, where Paimon will be waiting for you.

Afterwards, stand in the designated area and wait for your Sword character's idle animation before taking a picture of you and Paimon.

Use a Normal or Charged Attack

The final Photo-Taking Spot can be found by the Statue of the Seven near the Children of Echoes in Natlan. Teleporting there will already put you into view of the Photo-Taking Spot.

Stand in the designated area with your preferred Pyro character, and use a Normal or Charged Attack before taking a picture.

How to Play Mementos of Teyvat

Equip the Event Kamera

After finishing the quest, you will receive a Kamera gadget to use during the event. Equip the Kamera and interact with the photo-taking location to activate Photo-Taking Mode.

Check the Photography Targets

The event features various Photo-Taking points that you'll need to visit and take photos in. Depending on the location, you'll also need to arrange your subjects so that they meet the specified Photography Targets.

Adjust the Photo Angle and Positions

Before taking your photos, you can alter the different Kamera positions above to adjust how each shot will look like. After you've reviewed your settings, it's time to start taking pictures!

How to Unlock Mementos of Teyvat

Complete Archon Quest Prologue Act 3

Complete the Archon Quest Prologue Act 3 - Song of the Dragon and Freedom, and reach at least Adventure Rank 20 to play the Mementos of Teyvat event!

Complete the Unlock Quest

To start the Mementos of Teyvat event, go to Court of Fontaine and talk to the manager of Damoville Purveyor. Finishing the conversation with him and Paimon completes the event unlock quest.
