Go to the Akademiya
An Odd Textual Mystery is located at The Akademiya, at the heart of Sumeru City! Head straight towards Madame Faruzan inside talking to herself by the fountain.
How to Unlock An Odd Textual Mystery
Complete the Afterword Quest
To unlock An Odd Textual Mystery, you must have first completed the Afterword quest of the Summertime Scales and Tales event. Collei will tell you that something exciting is happening over Sumeru, halfway completing the event quest, however you'll be able to unlock this quest only after completing Afterword!
An Odd Textual Mystery Walkthrough
Go to the Akademiya
Go to the Akademiya at the suggestion of Collei back in the Kingdom of Breezes and Bells. Inside, you'll see Faruzan looking preoccupied by something else. Talk to her.
Search for clues nearby
After hearing the story about the conspiracy about the book, Reasoning Knows Not Time of Day, but Suspense Always Follows a Blizzard, search for clues nearby. Walk towards the entrance to the House of Daena, continue walking until you see a familiar face.
Talk to Layla
Upon seeing her, talk to Layla about the mysteries surrounding the book. She'll tell you that Kaveh was also interested with the book, and was found to have been searching for the marked-up copy. Once you're done talking to her, find Kaveh, who's inside his house at Treasures Street.
Go to Treasures Street
After bumping into Alhaitham, and talking to Kaveh, tread down the road that leads to the level just below their house, and along the way you'll run into Dehya browsing the goods of a peddler. Tell her about the book you're currently investigating, then talk to Kaveh who was just panting from running after you.
Talk to Tighnari
At Kaveh's suggestion, talk to Tighnari at Gandharva Ville, where he'll tell you that he has also encircled names on the book along with Kaveh's initial mark ups.
Go to Treasures Street
Go to Treasures Back, but this time use the Teleport Waypoint near Lambad's Tavern, and head to Puspa Cafe, and talk to Dehya and Candace about the book. Afterwards, go to the House of Daena to gather more clues!
Go to the Palace of Alcazarzaray
Go to the Palace of Alcazarzaray after talking to Nahida back at the House of Daena, and head towards Cyno, Sethos and Dori, who are all coincidentally discussing about the book. Once you've exhausted all their dialogues, return to the House of Daena, and relay to Kaveh everything you know so far.
Catch up to Kaveh as he leaves
After buying the marked up book, catch up to Kaveh as he leaves, and watch his conversation with Alhaitham to conlude the quest!
