Complete the Event Quest

To unlock Xtreme Carnival Ensemble, you need to have first completed This Ain't Your Daddy's Iridescence Tour..., the first part of the Iridescent Tour de Force of Awesomness quest chain.

How to Play Xtreme Carnival Ensemble

Talk to Dvorak

To play Xtreme Carnival Ensemble, simply talk to Dvorak on the side stage choose the "I'll have a go" option.

Alternatively, you can select Xtreme Carnival Ensemble from the "Event Venue" under the event's tab, however, it will still ask you to visit Dvorak to start playing the game!

Select a Song From the List

Each day for seven days, a new song will be unlocked in your song list for you to perform. The songs have four different difficulties, and completing the highest difficulty means bagging all the rewards from the previous tiers.

Take note that while the first three difficulties are available from the start, the fourth difficulty, "The One and Oni King" can only be unlocked by completing the song in the "Pro" difficulty!

Strike the Decision Line

To score points in Xtreme Carnival Ensemble, you'll have to strike the Decision Line each time a note falls on it. Each note are pre-bound to a certain key depending on the device you're playing, but you can always rebind them to your liking.

Mobile players, on the other hand, can easily tap on the note once it hits the Decision Line.

Share Your Beatmap to Others!

In the Edit Beatmap interface of Xtreme Carnival Ensemble, you can edit beatmaps of the tracks from the current and previous rhythm game events and be able to share that beatmap for others to play!

Similarly, under the Music Compositions tab in the event's tab, you can choose to play tracks edited by other players either via the recommendations, or by searching up their specific code.

Lag Calibration

A nifty feature of the Xtreme Carnival Ensemble is the Lag Calibration feature, where players can calibrate their device to mitigate potential delays or lag for a smoother experience.

Make sure to also enable Low Latency Mode to further curb any delay in your device, if the lag issue still persists.

Note Falling Speed

Another helpful setting in Xtreme Carnival Ensemble is the Note Falling Speed setting where you can adjust the speed to which each note falls. You can adjust the speed from 0.75 to 2.00 depending on your preferences, however, take note that the frequency of each note still depends on the Song and the difficulty to choose to play.

Interface Settings and Styles

Under the Performance Page settings, you can configure certain parts of your interface to fit your liking, including beat map themes, falling modes, background effects, and several miscellaneous effects.

You can also select which instrument you'd like to play under the Instrument Settings, which changes its own beat note sound under the same tab, and will be played differently by your character.
