No, it is best to turn off the Dynamic Character Resolution to improve game performance on any platform. There is an unnoticeable difference in turning it on, which you can only notice if you max zoomed the camera to a character.
It will only hinder the game's performance, especially for low-end PCs. For players playing on PS4 or PS, turning on Dynamic Character Resolution might seldom cause FPS drops in some graphics-heavy scenarios.
You can turn on or off Dynamic Character Resolution in the settings, under Graphics. Scroll down at the very bottom to see it.
Note that this option will not appear on PC devices that aren't compatible with this feature.
Dynamic Character Resolution adjusts the graphics quality of your characters for all Available Platforms. It smoothens some edges a bit, making the characters look a little bit better if turned on.
