How to Play Arataki Blazing Armor Beetle Battle Boot Camp

Control the Onikabuto

Similar to the previous beetle battle event, you will need to command your onikabuto by pushing the forward and backward arrows to move or attack. Charge an attack by pressing and holding the forward arrow, and launch your attack by letting go!

Time your Attacks

Knowing when to launch an attack is critical to winning against your opponent. Keep an eye on your opponents' movements and wait for a suitable opportunity to attack. Take note of the attack times, and if your plans change, cancel charging to prevent wasting Stamina.

Keep an Eye on the Attack Indicators

When your opponent launches an attack, an indicator will appear on the floor. Move out of the indicator as soon as possible to avoid the attack!

Use Guard to Defend Against Attacks

In addition to the same attacks and movements from the previous event, Travelers will now be able to use Guard to defend against Electro Bullet and Jetstream Attacks. You still have to dodge other types of attacks.

Complete Archon Quest Prologue Act 3

To play the Arataki Blazing Armor Beetle Battle Boot Camp event, you must first be at least Adventure Rank 20 or above, and complete the Archon Quest Prologue Act 3, The Song of the Dragon and Freedom!

Complete the Arataki Blazing Armor Beetle Battle Boot Camp Quest

Go to Wanmin Restaurant

After meeting the event requirements, the quest will automatically appear on your quest list! First go to Wanmin Restaurant in Liyue Harbor to begin a cutscene with Kuki Shinobu and Yanfei.

Note that after the cutscene, you can still talk to Yanfei and Kuki Shinobu for some extra dialogue!

Head to Guyun Stone Forest to Look for Xiangling

Teleport to Guyun Stone Forest and head to the second leftmost island to find Xiangling, Guoba, Itto, and the Grandmaster Hanakado. They will trigger another cutscene.

Return to Wanmin Restaurant

After talking to Xiangling, go back to Wanmin Restaurant to update Yanfei and Kuki Shinobu on the situation! After this cutscene, you can still talk to Xiangling and Guoba for extra dialogue.

Go to Guyun Stone Forest Again

Return to Guyun Stone Forest, where the event's Beetle Boot Camp is being set up. You can use the event icon itself to teleport to the location!

Defeat Ironclad Beetle King

Enter a beetle battle with Kuki Shinobu and complete the cutscene afterwards. This also serves as a tutorial to refamiliarize players with the controls as well as introduce the Guard mechanic.
