How to Unlock The Proscribed, Hidden in Plain Sight
Complete the Fortress of Meropide Quest
To unlock The Proscribed, Hidden in Plain Sight, you must have completed the previous subquest of To The Stars Shining in the Depths, Fortress of Meropide!

The Proscribed, Hidden in Plain Sight Walkthrough
Go to the production zone to talk to Grainville
Upon waking up and the dream about some of Childe's last activities before disappearing, you will be tasked once again to go to Grainville and work.
Go to the Lower Production Zone and continue processing more widgets.
Give the products to Grainville
Just like before, give the processed widget to Grainville.
Whilst working, you will meet a veteran worker named Rowan. He will introduce you to the first "hidden rule" of the Fortress: never work for 3 days straight, or something bad will happen at lunch on the third day.
Decide on the afternoon schedule
Now that your shift has finished, go to the Coupon Cafeteria to have your lunch and decide on what to do in the afternoon. You can either work overtime in the Production Zone, go to the Pankration Ring, or investigate.

Go to the Pankration Ring
Head to the Pankration Ring
Take the southwestern elevator down to the Pankration Ring and talk to Collins. Sadly, you'll be informed that you're overqualified to compete in any of the tournaments. However, he does have something that you can do instead.
Complete the Pankration Ring Challenge
Go to the boxing gloves to start the challenge. Another easy mini-game, simply pay attention to the order each of the boxing gloves pop up in, and hit them in the same order once the light beneath them turns blue.
Talk to Collins
Once the challenge has been completed, return to Collins and ask about more of the Fortress' "hidden rules".
He will tell you of one that he is aware of: never bet on both fighters of the same match, or something bad will happen next morning. With nothing left to do, you will immediately get sent back to your cell and rest for the next day.
Go and Investigate Freely
Talk to Fitzroy
If you decide to spend the rest of your day investigating, there will be three people to speak to, some of them having Credit Coupons waiting for you.
Start with the nervous Fitzroy, who is just on the Administration Area.
Talk to Deakin
Next, head down to the Lower Production Zone and speak to Deakin. If you praised him during your first meet with Wriothesley during the previous quest, he'll give you 200 Credit Coupons!
However, do take note that these coupons cannot be used to purchase anything, and are only used for several activities in the quest such as for skipping work and investigating.
Talk to Lynette
Next, speak to Lynette at the Dormitory Block. She'll have 400 spare Credit Coupons to give you. Once again, these coupons are only to be used in the quest.
Without much to do for the day, rest at your domitory and wait for the next day.
Apply to Grainville for three continuous working days
Another day in the Fortress means another shift. But with the new information about the hidden rules, go and speak to Grainville. As planned, apply to work non-stop for 3 days. These shifts will go by fast.
By lunch on the third day, you and Paimon will have a meal with some rather strange purple meat. You will take note of this for later use.
Talk to Sigewinne
After the incident with the purple meat, head down to the Lower Production Zone and speak to Sigewinne.
You will learn that she spends some time in this area observing inmates who overwork themselves to see how she can better take care of them. Just like before, you wil jot this down in your notebook for later.
Talk to Rowan
Head to the infirmary and on your way there, you will run into Rowan, who was on his way to see Sigewinne. You will find out that unfortunately, Sigewinne is always out 30 minutes prior to lunchtime. Another entry will be added to your investigation notes.
Read the book on the hallway
Try to head further to the infirmary and you will notice a glowing beacon in the hallway. Pick up the book and find out how Melusines like Sigewinne perceive the human world differently.
Another entry will be added to your investigation notes. With all the work and sleuthing you've put in, it's time to return to your cell and rest up.
Head to the Pankration Ring (if not yet completed)
If you previously chose to investigate freely, this will be your chance to go to the Pankration Ring and learn more about the Fortress' hidden rules.

Bet on Both Players at the Pankration Ring
With the information about betting on both players in mind, you and Paimon will have no choice but to do so.
You will immediately be sent back to your cell to rest afterwards. Upon waking up, a package containing a bottle filled with strange crimson liquid will be waiting for you. One more entry will be added to your investigation notes.
Talk to the Promoter
You'll now be able to afford a day off work to continue your investigation. Start by gliding down to the Administration Area and talking to the Promoter of Fonta Co.
You will learn that his new product pitch was outright rejected by Wriothesley due to conflict between the value of Mora and Credit Coupons. This will be added to your investigation notes.
Talk to Collins
Head down to the Pankration Ring and speak to Collins once again to learn that Fonta Co. is the sponsor of the Pankration Ring's tournaments. This will be another entry to your notes.
Investigate the Papers
Near Roussimoff on the northwest end of the Ring are a pile of papers. Investigate them and you will learn that Fonta Co. is testing out a new and unnamed product on a smaller scale. This will also be added to your notes.
With all your investigation done and the Stage Objectives fulfilled, return to your dormitory and rest with Paimon to conclude the quest!
