Fortress of Meropide Walkthrough

Follow Deakin

Simply follow Deakin, an inmate in the Fortress of Meropide, as he introduces you to the Fortress' beginning interior, like the lift from the reception area to the Fortress' Administration Area.

Ride the lift

Get into the elevator and descend down into the Fortress.

Go to the corners of the corridors

Keep following Deakin through the corridors until a new and imposing figure welcomes you—The Duke of the Fortress of Meropide himself, Wriothesley. He'll be taking over the tour this time.

If he asks if you're satisfied with Deakin's accomodation, be sure to praise him. This will have a positive outcome later in the quest line.

Talk to Wriothesley at the Coupon Cafeteria

Your first stop is the Coupon Cafeteria. Make your way into the Administration Area proper and turn right until you see some tables amidst a large kiosk.

Talk to Wriothesley at the Pankration Ring

Next up, Wriothesley will take you to the Pankration Ring. Head to the lift to the southwest of the Administration Area and ride it down to the ring.

You can determine which elevator to take by looking above the tunnels. If you see a large sign with two fists crossing each other, that one leads to the Pankration Ring.

Talk to Wriothesley at the dormitories

After the tour to the ring, Wriothesley will show you to the dormitories, which is on the topmost floor of the Fortress. Ride the southern lift.

Go to the infirmary and talk to Wriothesley

On the same floor, head to the infirmary, and you will run into a very familiar face on the way there. Wriothesley will then introduce you to Sigewinne, the Fortress' head nurse.

Go to the Coupon Cafeteria to get some food

With the tour concluded, Wriothesley and Sigewinne will invite you for lunch at the Coupon Cafeteria. You can easily make your way there by gliding down one floor below to the Administration Area.

Return to the dormitories and talk to Fielding

Once you're through with your lunch, head back up to your dormitory room and speak to Fielding. You and Paimon will settle in and rest.

Go to the production zone to talk to Grainville

Upon waking up, a greeting card from Lyney will be waiting for you, telling you to meet him in the Production Zone.

Head down to the Lower Production Zone and seek Grainville for work. He'll give you a clockwork meka widget to process. Head to the press and put the widget in.

This mini-game isn't at all that complicated. Make sure that you are on the platform in front of the press. If the platform glows, simply jump to activate the press.

If the widget gets stuck, the press will glow red. To fix this, simply attack the press and continue.

Take the widget

Once the widget has been processed, take it back to Grainville and earn your keep.

Keep looking for Lyney in the area

Walk around the Production Zone and keep following the indicators on the map until you reach the Upper Production Zone and find Lyney, with Lynette not far behind.

The siblings will reveal to you their purpose in the Fortress, and also mention that Freminet is also present somewhere.

Go to the Coupon Cafeteria to get some food

After the conversation and dealings with Lyney, go back to the cafeteria and have your lunch. During your meal, you will encounter Vidoc.

Return to the dormitories to rest

After a long day of hard work, return to your dormitory and rest with Paimon to conclude this quest.
