Complete the Calm Before the Storm Quest

To unlock the A Long Shot quest, you will need to reach Adventure Rank 18 or above and complete the fifth part of Prologue: Act 3: Calm Before the Storm!

A Long Shot Walkthrough

Venture Beyond the Seal

Navigate to the center of the seal and interact with it. Select your party and enter the domain.

Ride the Winds to Defeat Dvalin

Shoot projectiles at Dvalin by pressing the normal attack button. Make sure to aim for the Blood Clot Venti mentioned on Dvalin's back.

Use the Acceleration Currents

After a certain amount of damage is dealt to Dvalin, he will begin to fly away and shoot projectiles back at you. Venti will extract and condense pure Anemo, which you can then shoot to generate Acceleration Currents. Take advantage of the currents to get closer to Dvalin.

Defeat Dvalin

Dvalin will begin flying back down after the battle in the air. This time, you'll be fighting Dvalin on platforms. Break Dvalin's shield and knock him down to defeat him.

Venti will be joining your team as a trial character in this fight.

Aim for the Tainted Blood Clot

After knocking Dvalin down, climb the back of his neck and attack the Blood Clot.
