Complete the Chapter 3: Act 5 Archon Quest

To unlock the The Night-Bird Falls at the Curtain's Call, which is the first part of Interlude Chapter Act 3, you need to complete Chapter 3 Act 5, Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises Archon Quest and Kazuha's Story Quest Act I!

The Night-Bird Falls at the Curtain's Call Walkthrough

Go to the Sanctuary of Surasthana

Make your way over to the courtyard just in front of the Sanctuary of Surasthana. There, you will encounter Aqaba, an Akademiya scholar, and Sawada, a novelist from Inazuma.

After some bickering, they will ask you to observe both of their essays regarding the Tatarasuna incident.

Follow the Figure

After taking a look at both of their essays, a figure that looks like Scaramouche will pass by. Follow him to the Sanctuary of Surasthana.

Talk to Nahida

Head inside the Sanctuary and talk to Nahida to learn more about Scaramouche's presence.

She will then transport you into Irminsul.

Follow the Balladeer

Once inside, and after the cutscenes conclude, follow Scaramouche deeper into Irminsul. Keep following after each sapling that appears until you finally get to the heart of Irminsul.

Another set of cutscenes will play regarding Scaramouche and the anonymous data he will find.

Wait for a While

Having learned the truth behind his betrayal, Scaramouche will need time to process it all. Stand idle for a short while, let him vent out, and another cutscene will ensue.

Once the cutscene concludes, Nahida will extract you and Paimon out of Irminsul and into an inn room in Sumeru City.

Talk to Paimon

You and Paimon will be left amongst yourselves. Watch the final cutscenes and that will conlcude the first part of the quest!
