Mechanical Painting Part Restoration 4 Guide

How to Solve the Painting Restoration Puzzle 4

Position	Gear	Level
Position: 1	Medium Gear	Lower Level
Position: 2	Medium Gear	Upper Level
Position: 3	Large Gear	Lower Level
Position: 4	Large Duplex Gear	Flip Once or Automatically Flip

Automatically Flip for Position 4

If you follow the instructions above in order from 1 to 4, the Large Duplex Gear will automatically flip once. This happens because of the Large Gear in Position 3. If it's already in place, the Large Duplex Gear will automatically flip. If it's not in place yet, you will need to flip it once!

Switch to the Upper Level for Position 2

All gears except for the one in Position 2 are set to the Lower Level. Position 2 is set to the Upper Level to match the gears on that side of the puzzle!

Wait for the Painting Setup Hint

If you're stuck, waiting for 90 seconds reveals the puzzle hint. It highlights which positions and gears are necessary for the puzzle.
