If you follow the instructions above in order from 1 to 4, the Large Duplex Gear will automatically flip once. This happens because of the Large Gear in Position 3. If it's already in place, the Large Duplex Gear will automatically flip. If it's not in place yet, you will need to flip it once!
All gears except for the one in Position 2 are set to the Lower Level. Position 2 is set to the Upper Level to match the gears on that side of the puzzle!
If you're stuck, waiting for 90 seconds reveals the puzzle hint. It highlights which positions and gears are necessary for the puzzle.

The Mechanical Painting Part Restoration IV is the fourth stage for the Evermotion Mechanical Painting Event. There are six gear puzzles in total that you have to solve to restore parts of the painting. A new stage will unlock each day!
