Found in Minacious Isle

The Sea Salt-Crusted Key is found under the small island west of Minacious Isle's Original Form. If you're in the lake island, there's just water on the map and you can't access that location.

Note that you have to complete Mona's event quest to unlock the Sea Salt-Crusted Key!

How to Get the Sea Salt-Crusted Key

Get the First Sea Salt-Crusted Key in the Underwater Ruins

Sail to the ruined island west of Minacious Isle and jump into the hole by the Waverider Waypoint. You can ignore the puzzles for now and go into the hole in the wall. Destroy the rocks by the Hilichurl and look for a sparkling spot in the next area. Investigate to get the Sea Salt-Crusted Key!

Get the Second Sea Salt-Crusted Key in Minacious Isle

The second Sea Salt-Crusted Key can be found in a vase just inside the room that the first Sea Salt-Crusted Key opens.

Sea Salt-Crusted Key Gate Location

Used in the Thus Was the Work Done in Vain Quest

The Sea Salt-Crusted Key is used to open a gate in the ruins of Minacious Isle's Place in Water. It's the version where there are no islands to the west of Minacious Isle. The entrance to the ruins are south of Minacious Isle.

Opening this gate is part of the ''Thus Was the Work Done in Vain'' world quest found in Minacious Isle!

How to Get to the Sea Salt-Crusted Key Gate

1. Use two switches to open a gate in the ceiling.
   
2. Go through the ceiling gate and into a room full of Hilichurls. The gate that the key unlocks is in that room!
