How to Clear the Water Veins that Flow through the Island and Mountains

Here's how to complete the Clear the Water Veins that flows through the mountain in the island objective from Genshin Impact's Blazin' Trails quest in the Broken Isle!

To clear the water veins in the island, destroy all obstacles that block the flow of water through the mountains in Broken Isle.

Obstacles in these puzzles include breakable rocks, Melodic Harp and Bloom puzzles, a Melodic Pedal puzzle, and enemies, as part of the Blazin' Trails quest objectives.

How to Clear the Water Veins that Flow Through the Mountains Guide

Follow the Flow of Water

The path to reach the water vein is the central mountain. The water flow below your feet will act as a guide on where you need to go!

Destroy the Rock to Continue the Flow

Once you see the rock blocking the flow, simply destroy it with any attacks. We recommend using Geo or Claymore characters to easily destroy it in one hit!

Complete the Melodic Harp Puzzle

Continue heading south to the mountain until you see the Melodic Harp puzzle. You will see a musical note wall blocking your way.

To solve this, you must position all Melodic Blooms for the Harp's note to reach the wall. As indicated on the diagram above, simply position the second horn to direct it to the remaining Blooms!

Break the Second Rock to Continue the Flow

Head inside the newly opened space and break the second rock. A small cutscene will play afterwards.

Go to the Top of the Mountain

After the cutscene, go outside and reach for the summit of the mountain. You can use the large branches that cover around the walls to use it as a path up the mountain!

Solve the Melodic Harp Puzzle to Clear the Roots

Remove the roots that will connect the water flow to the pond with the Melodic Harp to clear the veins in the mountains.

Point the Blooms so that the Harp shoots the note in the direction as seen in the diagram above. Make sure to adjust the vertical orientation of the first Bloom to the second level, otherwise the note will miss!

Clear the Water Veins in the South-West Island (Part 1)

Go to the West Mountain by Following the Path

Similar to the first puzzle, make your way to the west mountains until you see a Melodic Harp puzzle.

Shoot Two Notes to the Wall at the Same Time

To solve this Melodic Harp puzzle, you will need to hit the thorny wall with two notes at the same time. You can do this by positioning the blooms nearest to the Harp to shoot to the same direction, as seen in the diagram above.

Adjust the Bloom's Orientation

Once the wall opens, you will see another set of Melodic Blooms. Simply position the horns so it shoots the thorns that block the water's path, then sound the same Melodic Harp once more.

Ascend the Mountain

From here, head outside and start ascending the mountain. You can use the water flow or the vines as a guide for the most optimal path up the mountain!

Destroy the Rock on the Summit

Simply destroy the rock on the summit to have the flow of water running up again!

Clear the Water Veins in the North-East Island (Part 2)

Go to the East Island by Following the Path

On the other side of the island, go around the mountain until you see the Melodic Harp puzzle.

There should also be a Phantasmal Conch and a Silver Pocket Watch nearby, if you haven't gotten them already!

Complete the Melodic Harp Puzzle

You only have to position the first and last Blooms so they shoot directly to the roots. Make sure to adjust the last horn so it shoots horizontally!

Climb up the Mountain

Start climbing up the mountain until you reach near the top. Use the water's flow as a guide to do this!

You can also follow the path leading up to the Hilichurl towers on the sides of the mountain. Those encampments have ladders that can take you up to the destination!

Find the Rock that Blocks the Path

Your final step is to destroy the rock near a Common Chest, and this section will be completed.

Note that this location is not located at the summit like the other water veins. The water's flow will take you to these location, so watch your surroundings!

Clear the Water Veins in the North-West Island (Part 3)

Swim or Sail to the West Shores

Once you're at the latter part of the quest, you will then again have to clear two more water veins.

Head to the west flow and follow this short path by swimming or riding a Waverider.

Break the Rock in Front of a Pinwheel

A rock will again block the water's path. Destroy it with ease.

Use Anemo to Create a Wind Current

Your next objective is to go up the mountain. Use Anemo on the pinwheel to create a current. This lets you glide up easily!

Destroy the Second Rock at the Top of the Mountain

Once you're up the mountain, simply destroy the rock near a Common Chest to complete this part of the quest.

Clear the Water Veins in the South-East Island (Part 4)

Head to the East Mountain

The last water vein is located on the eastern most mountains. Follow up this path until you see Melodic Harp and Pedal puzzles.

Step on all Musical Note Platforms

Complete the Melodic Pedals puzzle first, as it will unlock the Melodic Harp nearby. You can use the diagram above to show you where you need to step. Luckily, this one is fairly linear, as you just have to step on the adjacent platforms!

Sound the Harp

Without adjusting anything, simply play the Melodic Harp. The note will direct itself to the root and clear the path!

Adjust the Big Melodic Bloom

After clearing the roots, you will then have to adjust the big bloom so it shoots upwards. Playing the Melodic Harp to it will create a wind current that can transport you up the mountain!

Destroy the Final Rock

After riding the winds, simply find the rock near a Melodic Harp and break it. This will complete the final vein puzzle!
