How to Beat Taroumaru
Taroumaru Serious Difficulty
Parry right after the sword shine
Every time Taroumaru is about to attack with his sword, the weapon will flash briefly. Press Parry after you see the shine to perform a Perfect Parry!
Beware his Jumping Electro Attacks
Taroumaru will jump in the air and plant his sword on the ground, dealing AoE Electro DMG. You can block this with a Parry, or you can get out of the AoE's range, which will be marked on the ground.
Avoid or Block his Exploding Statue
Taroumaru may also jump away, leaving a statue of himself in his place. This statue will explode and deal damage within an AoE, and can be avoided easily by staying away!
Taroumaru Dire Difficulty
Parry his Electro Slash Attacks
Taroumaru will also attack by gathering Electro energy on his sword and sending a wave of Electro Slashes towards you. This can be perfectly parried by pressing Parry right after the Electro energy disappears from his sword but before he throws out his attack!
Perfect Parry to knock him down
Once Taroumaru does his Honed Technique, he will jump into the air and do a spinning attack. Parry right after he jumps, and you can knock him down on his back for some time!
To complete this stage under 75 seconds, you have to Perfect Parry against Taroumaru's attacks as much as possible.
Taroumaru Perilous Difficulty
Beware his double slash attacks!
In the Perilous Difficulty, Taroumaru will always do two attacks consecutively. He will perform two simple slashes with his sword, followed by a series of quick slashes. Don't let your guard down and Parry both of these attacks one after the other!

| Honed Technique | The mightiest warrior, Taroumaru, can block all attacks when he himself is not attacking. Attacking Taroumaru or performing Perfect Parries against his attacks will cause Taroumaru's Fury meter to fill up. Once it is full, Taroumaru will perform a powerful ramming attack, which can be Perfectly Parried to knock him down. While down, Taroumaru takes immensely increased DMG. |
