The only way to get the Aphotium Ore is by using the Bokuso Box to cleanse the darkness surrounding it. You only need to pick up the ore, so no need to bring a Claymore user!

Unlike other harvestable items in the open world, Aphotium Ores don't seem to respawn. This means that the number of these event items you can get are limited, but worry not as you'll have tons of extras if you've collected them all!

Aphotium Ore along with Tokoyo Legume are needed to unseal Teleport Waypoints through the Rite of Diffusal!

Used in Three Realms Gateway Offering Quests

During the Three Realms Gateway Offering Quests from Part 1, Part 2, to Part 3, Aphotium Ore and Tokoyo are requirements to activate the Towers. The Towers were first encountered in Erebos' Secret Quest Series, which also unlocked the three corner islands of Yachimatahiko's Locus, Yachimatahime's Locus, and Kunado's Locus!
