Shadowy Husks and Black Serpent Knight are enemies that first appeared during the Three Realms Gateway Offering event! The event released on February 17, 2022.

The Shadow Husks, now also referred to as Black Serpent Knights, were re-introduced in the overworld when Version 2.6 of Genshin Impact was launched! They can be mostly be found in the Chasm.

There are currently four types of Shadowy Husks and Black Serpent Knights in the game. All of them can be found in the Chasm.

Standard Bearer Variant

The Shadowy Husk Standard Bearer uses the Pyro Element. When its attack hits a character protected by a shield, it will create shields for itself and other enemies nearby.

Line Breaker Variant

The Shadowy Husk Line Breaker uses a Lance and charges at players while imbued with the Hydro Element. If its attack hits a shielded character, it will sacrifice a portion of its health to heal all other enemies it.

Defender Variant

The shadowy Husk Defender is a Bow wielding monster that uses ranged and AoE attacks to deal Cryo damage. If its attacks hit a shielded character, it will create a huge shield that will work similar to how Shielded Mitachurls mitigate damage.

Windcutter Variant

The Black Serpent Knight: Windcutter is a monster that wields a sword and the Anemo element. When it hits a shielded character it will boost its ATK temporarily and avoid the next source of damage by blinking away.

The Chasm

Shadowy Husks and Black Serpent Knights are currently only found in The Chasm's Underground Mines, at Liyue. Before the 2.6 update, they were only found at the Event version of Enkanomiya during the 2.5 update.

Drops Husk Gems

Defeating any type of Shadowy Husk will drop a Husk Gem. These gems were needed in order to complete the Three Realms Gateway Offering: Part I,Part II, and Part III during the Enkanomiya Event.
