Open World Enemy in Enkanomiya

The Bathysmal Vishaps are ancient predators that can be found in the depths of Enkanomiya. This new type of Vishap can be found in groups and are dangerous foes to go against as they have adapted to other elements other than Hydro.

Absorbs Energy and Deals Damage

When a Bathysmal Vishap is against a stronger enemy, it will use the Cleansing Shower attack, and character hit by this will lose Elemental Energy on their Elemental Burst and if they don't have enough energy to compensate, their HP will drain instead.

Possibly the Dragonheir of the Depths?

During The Moon-Bathed Deep World Quest, the shrine maiden mentions a foe that tormented the people of Watatsumi Island when they lived in Enkanomiya called the Dragonheir of the Depths! It still recides in Enkanomiya so it's possible that the Bathysmal Vishaps are the Dragonheir of the Depths since they are native enemies in the area.
