The Ruin Drake: Skywatch can periodically release a torrent of energy that deal AoE damage. This can be avoided by moving away from the Ruin Drake and out of its AoE, or deflect it with a character's shield.
The Ruin Drake: Skywatch will paint a target on the player and attack with a volley of missiles, much like Ruin Guards and Ruin Graders. Sprint at the last minute to avoid this attack!
The Ruin Drake: Skywatch flips its body to slam its tail on the ground and deal damage. This attack is slow and can easily be dodged.
The Ruin Drake: Skywatch shoots a slew of scattered shots from its wings, which can be avoided by continuous movement and dodging to the side of the enemy.
The Ruin Drake: Skywatch gains Elemental Resistance based on the previous main Elemental DMG that it receives, making it a tough enemy to beat!
A good strategy is to hit it with Physical attacks or use strong elemental attacks that can deal as much damage as possible in one strike.
When absorbing an element from the previous Elemental DMG it receives, the Ruin Drake: Skywatch also has a chance to attack with Energy Torrents affected by the element.
To temporarily bring down the Ruin Drake: Skywatch, hit the weak spot at the center of its body with a bow character. You can also aim for the head when it's glowing and charging up!

Adventurer Handbook Description |
---|
A horrifying dragon-shaped machine. It is said to be a war machine left behind by a now-destroyed nation, It mimics the appearance of the beings known as Vishaps, with some functional enhancements. Such machines have an even greater ability to ''absorb'' — or perhaps the right word is ''counteract'' — elemental powers than the vishaps. How, you wonder, did a civilization that could make such frightening machines of war collapse? |
The Ruin Drakes can be found in various locations in Sumeru's Rainforest Region.
