How to Get Wood

Use a Sword, Polearm, or Claymore on Trees

All Wood types can be obtained by chopping different kinds of trees in Teyvat. Use characters that wield swords, polearms, or claymores to attack trees and gain Wood, because attacking trees with bows and catalysts won't work.

Use the Tree Collecting Gadget

Use the Boon of the Elder Tree to easily collect all wood from trees within the gadget's AoE!

How to Get Boon of the Elder Tree

How much wood can I get from a tree?

You can get a maximum of 3 pieces of wood from each tree. Note that hitting trees 3 times won't always give you 3 pieces of wood right away! Keep attacking the tree until it gives you its maximum of 3 pieces.

Use Arataki Itto's Passive Talent

When you have Arataki Itto in your party, you get a 25% chance of collecting additional wood!

Wood Respawn Time

The fastest way to reset Trees is to chop 10 other trees of any kind. Wood from Trees respawn every 10 trees you chop, meaning you can continuously chop Trees in a single area. Trees also automatically respawn around 10 minutes after chopping without leaving.

Craft with Ores

After the Version 3.0 update, players are given the option to craft Wood using Ores. Talk to Tubby inside the Serenitea Pot and choose to Craft Furnishing, where you can find the wood crafting tab.

Used to craft Furnishings

Wood can only be used to craft Furnishing items for the Serenitea Pot. It currently has no use outside of Genshin Impact's Housing System.
