List of Contents
When you reach a certain Adventure Rank, your World Level increases as well. With higher World Levels, the enemies you encounter are stronger, but at the same time you get better rewards.
Required Adventure Rank | Ascension Quest Requirement | |
---|---|---|
World Level 1 | 20 | × |
World Level 2 | 25 | ✔︎ |
World Level 3 | 30 | × |
World Level 4 | 35 | ✔︎ |
World Level 5 | 40 | × |
World Level 6 | 45 | ✔︎ |
World Level 7 | 50 | ✔︎ |
World Level 8 | 55 | × |
With Update Version 4.8, players can now decrease their World Level by 1 after reaching World Level 3. This is useful for those who are having a hard time with their current World Level and might need some more time in the lower World Level to build up their party.

To change your World Level, simply open up the Paimon Menu and click on the “i” Info symbol next to your World Level and select Lower World Level.
If you want to go back to your original World Level, go to the same menu and icon and click to revert it. When you click it, you can also see your remaining cooldown timer if you want to check.
After changing your World Level, you will need to wait 24 hours before you can change it back. The cooldown will start no matter what change you make, whether it's to decrease or revert your World Level.
Wow.. to think I actually stopped playing this around 1.2 precisely because the world level thing got to be so much of a hassle for trying to bring in new heroes. You'd get someone nice in gacha only to bench them forever until you farmed up their materials and doing that meant you weren't focused on getting new or better gear for your main heroes. It just felt stagnant. If I had known this change happened I would have already been back. RIP my last 6 months.
