Completing a stage gives you a certain amount of Windtrace Coins. Any Windtrace Coins earned past the limit do not count towards your accumulated coins.
How to Play Snowtrace
Start A Match by Talking to Yaoyao
You can start matching by talking to Yaoyao at the event location in Dragonspine! Adjust matchmaking settings in the upper right and gameplay details in the lower left of the menu. After matching, a random Contested Zone will be chosen and your role will also be randomized.
You can also choose different dialogue options to instead unlock more interactions with Yaoyao.

Play Hide-and-Seek in Co-Op
Similar to the past Windtrace Event, players can play hide-and-seek against other players in new snow-themed Contested Zones in Dragonspine. Utilize the new environments and buffs to hide or seek other players.

Hide as a Rebel
Players are assigned to either be Hunters or Rebels in each stage. Rebels must hide and avoid capture from the Hunters until the time is up. Rebels can also place traps to hinder Hunters, even after being captured and entering Observer Mode.
All Rebel Skills
| Skills | Description |

 Transparency |
Enter hidden mode for 5 seconds. During this time, you cannot be discovered by the Hunter. Entering this mode will dispel your current disguise and leave bait at your location. The Hunter's Snowwhite Arts Capture!, Sensor Aura, and Hunter's Intuition will all still take effect against a hidden Rebel. This skill has a 40 second CD. |
 Disguise |
Click: Randomly be disguised as one of the specialized objects in the area. Hold: Removes the disguise. The disguise will also be removed when you glide or swim. |
 Starstep |
Removes all Cold from Rebels. Movement SPD is greatly increased for the next 30 seconds |
 Illusory Beacon |
This can only be used while in Observer Mode. Place an Illusory Beacon ahead of you to confuse the Hunter. If the Hunter uses Capture! on the Beacon, their vision will be limited for a short time. |
Find Players as a Hunter
When assigned as a Hunter, you must find all the Rebels before the time limit. Hunters get skills that can help them locate Rebels in the Contested Zone.

 Sensor Aura |
Scout a fixed area around yourself. You will be notified if the area contains a Rebel. If a scouted Rebel moves, sprints, jumps, or glides within the next 5s, a marking pillar of light will be left at their current position. The skill has a 4 second CD and can be used 3 times. |
 Capture! |
Dispel the disguise of a nearby Rebel and capture them. |
 Hunter's Intuition |
Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel. If the target is nearby, their location will be marked by a pillar of light. The target cannot Disguise themselves for the diration of this effect. The Rebels will be warned of this action. |
 Frigid Aura (Passive) |
Rebels within 5m will accumulate Cold at a much faster rate. |
Find Klee, Yaoyao, or Sayu for Extra Points
In Snowtrace, each Contested Zone will also have the characters Klee, Yaoyao, or Sayu hiding somewhere in the area! Finding one of these characters as a Hunter will give you extra points.
Avoid Accumulating Cold
The Contested Zones in Snowtrace are all located in Dragonspine or similar areas, meaning Cold will affect players during the game. Once you accumulate a certain amount of Cold, you will be frozen in place and your location will be broadcasted for Hunters to find!
Seek Out Heat Sources
Seek out the various Heat Sources in the area to keep Sheer Cold down, although be warned that activating a Heat Source will broadcast your location as well!
Watch Out for Snowstorms
There will also be occasional Snowstorms that lower visibility in the area, which can help Rebels get away or let Hunters sneak up on them!
Grab Snowwhite Favors
Similar to past windtrace events, Snowwhite Favors will drop in a random location of the zone, and both Rebels and Hunters can grab it to activate their special skill!
How to Unlock Snowtrace
Complete the Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey Part 1 Quest
To unlock the minigames in Soulblazers' Snowbound Journey, you must complete Part 1 of the Main Event quests, The Shining Warriors Take the Stage.
Complete Snowtrace Unlock Quest
Talk to Klee, Yaoyao, and Sayu to complete the Playing in the Snow Counts as Training Too! quest and start playing Snowtrace!
