How to Unlock The Frozen, Rekindling Land

Complete the Prerequisite Quest

Unlock The Frozen, Rekindling Land by completing Nahuatzin's Leap world quest and the Path to the Flaming Peaks quest chain.

Go to Ancient Sacred Mountain

The Frozen, Rekindling Land is located at Ancient Sacred Mountain, deep in the underground of the volcano in Natlan. Entering the volcano will immediately start this quest.

Follow the path as it lights up

Upon entering the volcano, you will be teleported into a dark room with your Saurian companion. Then, wait for your Saurian to find the switch for the light and activate it.

Afterward, follow the path as it lights up. Along the way, you will also encounter a Secret Source Automaton Hunter-Seeker and you need to defeat it to progress though.

Talk to the strange mechanism

At the end of the path, you will encounter a strange mechanism that looks like a small mechanical dragon. You decide to talk to it and it introduces itself as Ehecatl.

Explore up ahead

Follow Ehecatl to the next room to explore deeper into the volcano. The next room will also light up immediately once you follow Ehecatl.

Activate the mechanism

Activate the mechanism beside Ehecatl to light up the whole map of the Ancient Sacred Mountain!

Keep exploring

As the whole map is shown now, you can now explore the Ancient Sacred Mountain area. You can also follow the objective marker which will lead you to the middle of the map, where a Secret Source Servant will talk to you.

Re-stabilize the Astral Assemblage(s)

At this point you will need to complete two world quests, The Forsaken Sea of Wisdom and The Sealed Site of Sacrifice, to restabilize the Astral Assemblage(s).

These two quests will immediately be unlocked after you talk to the Secret Source Servant in the middle of the Ancient Sacred Mountain area.

Go to the Celestial Axis

After completing The Forsaken Sea of Wisdom and The Sealed Site of Sacrifice world quests, go back to the middle of the Ancient Sacred Mountain area and talk to the Secret Source Servant.

Activate the Celestial Axis

Activate the Celestial Axis by interacting with the light, where the objective marker is located.

Head to the depths of the ancient city

Ride the Celestial Axis down to the depths of the ancient city.
