In Stage 2, Vaporize or Melt due to the increased overall DMG and ATK buff you get when you trigger either of those reactions. The most recommended characters are Pyro and Cryo, such as Mavuika, Citlali, or Arlecchino.
Freeze teams with Wriothesley or Ayaka are also viable. However, due to enemies already affected by Hydro, you can switch your Hydro characters for other elements to further boost your overall damage and beat the time.
Elemental Reactions Guide and How it Works
Vaporize, Melt, or Frozen attacks are the most effective against all the enemies in Stage 2, especially against the Hydro Mimics and Tainted Phantasms, which are both already affected by Hydro.
This means you could substitute your Hydro characters for other Sub-DPS or Support to further increase your overall DMG and beat the 30-second timer.
Recommended Skips | Seconds Remaining |
---|---|
Floor 15 → Floor 18 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: 16~19 Seconds Remaining Floor 18: +12 Seconds Remaining |
Floor 15 → Floor 17 → Floor 18 → Floor 20 | Floor 15: 12~15 Seconds Remaining Floor 17: -11 Seconds Remaining Floor 18: +12 Seconds Remaining |
Floor 19 may consist of Tainted Water Phantasms enemies that don't move as much, which means melee characters may have a hard time clearing this floor fast. You can opt to skip from Floor 15 to 18, then to 20.

To reach and beat Floor 20 in Stage 2, a good tactic would be to aim for Floor 18, and avoid Floor 19. This is due to Floor 19 being very difficult for most people to complete and Floor 18 is easier and faster to clear.
You could start at Floor 15 and complete it with 16 seconds remaining on the timer, so you can skip to Floor 18. Starting at Floor 12 is also viable, though you need to calculate how fast you can complete the other floors.
On Floor 18, you need to clear it with at least 12 seconds remaining in order for you to skip Floor 19 and go to Floor 20. You need to defeat two Hydro Mimic Cranes and a Hydro Mimic Frog, which are all at level 102, so they have a very high HP.
Luckily, these enemies don't move much and they are already grouped together, so you can use AoE attacks to defeat them all at the same time.
Floor 19 consists of two Tainted Phantasms with high HP and damage, which can one-shot your characters. They are also positioned away from each other, which can make you lose more time by running over to the other one.
The strategy for this floor is to run to a distance, so that the one of the Phantasms will chase you, and will get closer to the other. Once the two are near each other, give them all you've got.
