Blazing Flint Ore is used to upgrade the Pyro Traveler's constellations, which gives additional bonuses to Pyro Traveler outside of its initial effects.
The Traveler's initial constellations upon unlocking Pyro are only effective against the Lord of the Eroded Primal Fire boss, and so you will need to get all Blazing Flint Ores to be able to use their actual constellations.
