Challenge Rules for Stage 1

Recommended Bonuses and Difficulty
There are plenty of ways to get at least 3000 points in Desperate Struggle. If a certain difficulty becomes too hard, you can turn the notch down and adjust the round bonuses or HP increase to reach the required points. Below are our suggested combinations to score 3000!

Leverage on Noelle's and Zhongli's Shields
The key to acing this stage is to overuse Shields; firstly, because of the Challenge Rule that punishes your non-shielded characters, and secondly because you'd want to mitigate as much damage as you can, especially from the Rock Shieldwall Mitachurl.
Use Diona as the Main Utility Support
Diona is a good Cryo applicator, Shielder, and Healer, making her an awesome pick for this round! You can maximize her overall utility by triggering a Crystallize reaction for each enemy she applies Cryo to, for an extra shield point!

Use Fatui Pyro Agent's Passive
Fatui Pyro Agent's passive, Stealth gives you an access to a free shield at the start of the battle, and each time he casts his Prowl skill. You can also easily use his Burst for only two Energy counters, which Raiden Shogun can easily give for free, by using her burst!
Diona for Elemental Reactions and Shields
Aside from Diona's top-tier utility support for the team, her Elemental Skill can easily set-up an Electro-Charged, Overload, and Melt from Raiden Shogun's and the Fatui Pyro Agent's skills!

Prioritize Removing the Rifthounds
Although the Rifthounds don't pack that much punch compared to the Rock Shieldwall Mitachurl, their Corrosion debuff bypasses your shields, whittling your HP down gradually. If you let them be, you'll find yourself in a pinch, that's why we recommend taking them out first!
Rely on Fast Action Swaps
Since the battle against the enemies in this stage is of grit, it's wise to use Action Cards that can help you swap out your cards without expending your turn, like Katheryne, or something of the same effect, like When the Crane Returned card.
Cards like these can help you navigate around your character cards, thereby maximizing their utility, especially that you'd want to use theirs skills as much as possible, for the benefit of the whole team!
