But, when the maroon light of the augite caught my eye, I couldn't help but recall the legends my grandfather once told me as a child...

Today, the fires of war have been buried by the drifting sands, and the long-suffering desert folk have finally begun to lead stable, peaceful lives.

The storybook that Amber sent me arrived early! It got here yesterday evening, so I stayed up all night to finish reading it!

The plot was simple enough and easy to understand, and there wasn't any new vocabulary either. The main character, Mr. Fox, has big ears and a long tail, and he lives in a huge forest far, far away. It's a series of funny stories about him and his friends.

I have to admit that I could practically see Master Tighnari as the protagonist! Or would have, if Mr. Fox wasn't such a sly character who lies at the drop of the hat... I'm not sure how well I hid it when I saw him this morning...

Oh, look how much I've written already! I've gotten a little carried away...

The thing I want to say is... thanks to everyone's help, I've gradually been getting better and better, and I'm starting to feel like I've made a lot of progress!

So, I guess I want to share my gratitude with you, too!

Those alchemical potions we bought from you last time were just amazing! Everyone feels like they have a lot more energy while they work, and the cargo ship that carried them also brought way more goods than usual.

Speaking of goods... Though we all understand that relying solely on imports isn't practical in the long term, rushing things here won't do us any good. We still need to improve productivity on Watatsumi Island, one step at a time. In the meantime, instilling confidence and maintaining morale is equally important. So, after some deliberation with the soldiers, we decided to work together and use some really novel ingredients to make a celebratory cake!

Yun Jin Birthday Message

Recently, two musicians in our opera troupe retired and returned to their hometowns. Before they left, they introduced several other adept musicians to us.

These musicians are indeed talented. Despite the little time we've had to practice and rehearse, their playing is already in perfect harmony with my singing. As I listened to those melodies, so familiar yet fresh, I could sometimes see the smiling faces of the two old musicians accompanying me with their performances during my childhood days of learning opera.

Partings and encounters are a running theme throughout life, being staged again and again, bringing us sorrows and surprises, and these are but a few of the manifold flavors of life.

In this new year of my life, I wish to spend more time with my dear friends and continue to progress in my singing and acting skills. In fact, I've been feeling inspired lately and am planning to stage a new play. As it coincides with my birthday celebration, I'd really like to hear your insights on it. Please do come.

According to her, trying something new for a change would make one happy. She also brought along members of the Blazing Beasts and offered to patrol around the village for me.

I appreciated her kindness but really didn't want to bother her. She then resorted to mentioning that I was bested in our last pillow fight in a bid to persuade me... Well, Dehya's not one to easily give up, is she?

This special day could be a good opportunity to show off my culinary skills. How about I make something delicious for everyone in the village?

I'd be more than happy if you could join us.

After some consideration, I've decided to host a tournament. The format will require participants to register in teams of two, which will allow each person to demonstrate their individual skill on top of promoting teamwork and trust!

I've sent letters to Captain Beidou and Kazuha, and I hope they can make it here on time. As for Narukami Island, Arataki Itto was the first to reply, saying: "Don't you worry, 'cause victory belongs to Arataki 'No Doubt About It-to'!" Thoma has also responded that he intends to participate alongside Taroumaru.

For my birthday this year, our long-time fans booked a ship for the entire Yun-Han Opera Troupe on which to admire the full moon. As this was the request of our adoring supporters, we of course decided to go. I discussed matters with everyone and, seeing how devoted our fans are, we agreed that it was best to repay them in at least some small part with a performance.

Upon the sea and beneath the moon, accompanied by the sound of the waves... I think this song is best suited to the scene:

"The frosty disk of the full moon rises upon a lonely island, life fleeting as a pleasant dream, let me raise my cup with open heart and drink to my soul's satisfaction." To spend my birthday creating beautiful memories with friends and those who love and appreciate opera fills me with joy.

I hope that you might be a part of those memories, but as I am unsure if you have a free moment, I am writing you this letter of invitation.
