When I was reading the newspaper to Master, I saw your amazing achievements in other places. I'm really happy for you, but also worried you'll miss Liyue food. I was going to ask Master for a vacation and bring Qiqi to see you, but after Aunty Cloud Retainer found out, she said we should just invite everyone to celebrate together. She called Ganyu and Shenhe over in a flash, I invited Qiqi, and we all had a great time together!

Right! I even asked Xiangling to help me prepare a whole bunch of Liyue dishes! Even Master said they smelled just like they should, you know! Recently, whenever I've had a spare moment, I've been observing and studying Chef Mao's way of cooking. I've learned a lot just by watching and taking notes.

But once I try it myself, I always seem to encounter all kinds of problems. When I tried carving a duck, for instance, I accidentally used too much force, and the meat ended up flying all over the place. And when I tried making tea pastries, I rolled the pastry too thin, so the filling all spilled out... I didn't want to give up, so despite the setbacks, I just kept practicing. Xiangling and Guoba have given me a lot of encouragement too.

Which is why I think it's about time you tried out some of my handiwork for yourself.

Time flies as ever, and in the blink of an eye, my birthday's here once again.

Last night, I received a letter and a gift from my mother. During the course of the expedition, she's managed to get her hands on a fine sword, light and easy to swing. She said that she hoped it would help me vanquish monsters more easily.

After reading the letter, I couldn't help but reflect on how things have changed recently, staring through the window at the quiet scenery outside as though lost in a trance.

In actual fact, the number of monsters around Mondstadt has greatly decreased during the time my mother has been away. The Knights of Favonius who stayed behind have matured and blossomed, meaning that the immense pressure I faced is gradually lessening too.

Of course, much of this is thanks to you.

I'll be making a special pizza today, with what I like to think is the ideal balance of toppings. Neither too heavy, nor too light — perfect for a catch-up.

Whenever this season comes around, flowers all over Mondstadt begin to bloom one after another. Simply gazing out over the colorful countryside is enough to carry all your worries away.

I picked a whole basketful of wild flowers, hoping to make them into garlands and little ornaments to decorate the rooms of the Knights of Favonius.

But on my way back, a group of familiar-looking children crowded around as soon as they saw me, catting out my name... Though I couldn't help but feel shy, their enthusiasm was impossible to resist...

So I decided to share my flowers with them. "I'll teach them how to make flower bracelets for their family," I thought, "Their parents will be so delighted!"

A few days ago, I received a report documenting how the cultural exchanges between Inazuma and Fontaine have been steadily progressing.

The remarkable success of this collaborative endeavor owes much to your assistance too.

After returning to Inazuma, Ayaka and I have often spoken of that trip. When we have a spare moment together, it is a joy indeed to recount and reminisce upon such happy memories.

This morning, my master cooked medicinal soup and many other exquisite dishes for me. She also invited Moon Carver and Mountain Shaper for a gathering.

In my master's abode, the soothing aroma of the dishes and the familiar atmosphere of a friendly reunion made for a comforting respite.

I, on my part, collected dew from Violetgrass and fetched well-preserved aromatic herbs to make some simple refreshments. Though my cooking skill is not as good as my master's, the refreshments are a token of my good wishes... and a sign of how I've changed since returning to human society.

I would feel content if you could try them and tell me what you think.

One last thing. My master prepared a generous portion of medicinal soup for me. I only had a small bowl. After that, I cooked some noodles for you with the rest of the soup. I hope you like it.

It has been quite some time since our last meeting. How have you been?

Upon finishing work, I received an unexpected invitation -the headquarters' kitchen replaced the old stove and kitchen utensils, and installed an assistant device developed by the Investigation Team. Thus, I was invited to test the outcome of the renovation.

Though such tasks fall into the logistics division's scope of responsibility, considering that "good food is one of the pillars of morale," it is my duty, too, to take a good look at the cooking facilities.

I did not expect that it was a surprise birthday party for me yet again. Before I came in, the knights were all there waiting for me. I received many presents and good wishes from them.

To express how impressed and touched I was, I made an extra-large pizza with the new stove, and shared it with everyone.

How have you been lately? There is a small matter with which I would like to request your help.

To be more precise... During festive periods, the Knights of Favonius often find themselves busy with festival preparations. I have had a bit of spare time recently, and I wish to use it to organize a picnic for everyone by myself. Planning the itinerary, confirming the location, setting the area up, and preparing all kinds of little things to create a nice ambiance... These things aren't a problem for me. Do you have any customs that you follow on your birthday?

In the past, my master knew that I didn't need material possessions, so she would only send me a blessing on this day. Thus, I've only recently learned of the custom of eating longevity noodles on one's birthday.

However, longevity in of itself is not something I want to pursue. Rather, I would like to spend that longevity with the people I have formed a bond with.

I asked my master who excels in cooking for advice on how to prepare it well, but she wanted me to figure it out by myself.

I don't know how much I've figured out. I guess that will be for you to judge.

Early this morning, I was chased out of my office by my fellow Knights. They told me I could go wherever I wanted, as long as it didn't involve work.

Although I do understand they mean well, it seemed a bit excessive to instruct the knight guarding the door to my office to prevent me from entering, right in front of me.

So, I went to Windrise, then went up the road to Starsnatch Cliff.

It's been a long time since I've been out patrolling in person.

I've found some potential hazards on the outskirts of Mondstadt, and I'll need to gather a group to develop further plans.

I enclosed some flowers picked along the way and materials collected after defeating monsters. I hope they'll help you on your journey.

... Now that I think about it, it has actually been a rather productive day.

The other Knights paid me a visit and took all of my work upon themselves. They ignored my protests, saying that I deserve to relax today. I appreciate their kindness, but... I do not see the need to celebrate my birthday.

As a child, I always spent my birthday with my mother. To bystanders, it must have seemed most unusual. We would do away with the usual entertainment and birthday cake, opting for a simple trip to Windrise.

I do not mean to complain, I have long grown used to that tradition. This is why I am not accustomed to the notion of having a birthday banquet.

Forgoing all fun may disappoint the others, but a grand ceremony also seems out of place. Birthdays require much deliberation indeed...
