Used to Enter the New Spaces

Enter the New Space by Turning the Compass

You need to rotate the Fantastic Compass' needles forward or backward depending on the new space you want to travel to.

You also need to change some things in the past to unlock Fantastic Compass needle positions.

New Spaces Compass Location Guide

Only New Spaces 1 and 2 will be unlocked at the start. You have to unlock Spaces 3 and 4 by solving some puzzles. Once you reach New Space 4, New Space 5 will automatically be unlocked. New Space 5 is your final destination.

The Fantastic Compass Needle is Stuck in the Trees

The symbol for New Space 3 is locked because the Fantastic Compass needle is stuck in the trees. Here's how you unlock it:

1. Rotate the needle backward to New Space 1
2. Enter the New Space Doors
3. Go to the Fantastic Compass
4. Attack and destroy the tree sappling
5. Rotate the needle forward to New Space 2
6. Enter the New Space Doors
7. Rotate the needle forward to unlock New Space 3

The Fantastic Compass Needle Has Touched the Ground

The symbol for New Space 4 is locked because the Fantastic Compass touches the ground in New Spaces 1 and 2, and because it's locked behind a gate in New Space 3. Here's how you unlock it.

1. Unlock New Space 3 first and go there
2. Finish Xiao's fight scene
3. Enter the New Space Doors without doing anything
4. Go to the gate on the right
5. Pull the lever on the right side of the gate
6. Go back to New Space 3
7. Kill the Spider by the unlocked gate
8. Rotate the needle backward to unlock New Space 4

How to Unlock the Fantastic Compass Gate

The Wooden Gate in New Space 3 can be unlocked by entering the New Space gates one more time, looking for the same wooden gate on the right, and pulling the lever on the right side of the gate.

Go back to New Space 3 to see the Wooden Gate unlocked and replaced by a web and a spider. The Fantastic Compass should be accessible by then.
