Oceanic Defender is part of the Fleeting Colors in Flight event in Genshin Impact. You will need to defeat Beisht to earn rewards to claim a free outfit for Ningguang and a free copy of any 4-star Liyue character during the event!

Beisht only opens herself up to melee attacks for a short duration. This fight can be done easier with a ranged Main DPS character who can constantly dish out damage, no matter how close or far Beisht is!

Alternative Sub-DPS character can be anyone who can help deal damage at any range and fits with your available characters. Beisht does a lot of attacks during the fight, so a healer or shield support characters will make the fight easier!

Because Beisht only leaves herself open to melee attacks for a short duration, players will want to use characters who can deal big amounts of DPS in quick bursts.

Though there are more Melee and short-ranged DPS characters, the choice still needs to be narrowed down to those who can deal big damage in a short time. Sub-DPS characters and Support characters are flexible and only need to help the Main DPS!
How to Beat Beisht
Avoid the Jetstream Attack
You can avoid the Jetstream attack by sprinting sidewards after she finishes channeling the vacuum pull!
The attack will travel in a long, wide line at the center of the arena, so stay near the edge!
Stay At the Edge to Escape the Whirlpool
The water whirlpool will randomly spawn at the center of the arena, sucking in players and doing damage. This attack can always be avoided by staying at the edge of the arena.
Move Sidewards for the Bite Attack
From far away, Beisht will lunge her head forward and split the arena in half. The attack can be avoided by staying at the edge of the area, by the side of where the head will spawn.
Evade the Falling Water AoE
Random water droplets will fall from the sky and will do damage players standing on the red circle AoE. Time your dashes to easily avoid this attack completely!
Watch Out for the Water Missiles
From time to time, the player will be marked by a crosshair, indicating who the Water Missiles will home to. You can avoid this by doing a half circle motion as the missiles approach!
Use Food Buffs
Using food buffs will make the fight easier, so make sure you are prepared before attempting the boss fight!
The Adeptus' Temptation is one of the best food items that will increase the ATK% of all party members. Flaming or Frosting Essential Oil are also good items to increase your Pyro and Cryo Elemental Damage!

How to Use the Conquest Talismans
Conquest Talismans are event shop tokens. You can use them in the Afterglow Market Stage 3 Event Shop during the Fleeting Colors in Flight event!
You will also need to obtain 1,800 Conquest Talismans to claim Ningguang's free skin, and use 1,000 Talismans to get a free 4-Star character from Liyue from Prosperous Partnerships.
