During the Early Game, place Entei ex in the Active Spot while you set up Mega Charizard X ex in the Bench. This will allow you to use Entei ex's Ability to draw an extra card at the end of a turn, drawing the cards that you need in your deck quicker.
Once Mega Charizard X ex is up, switch it to the Active Spot and use it as your main attacker. Use Trainer cards to support and sustain Mega Charizard X ex, such as the Flame Patch to attach extra Fire Energy, and the Protective Poncho to protect Mega Charizard X ex whenever it is in the Bench.

Use Energy Accelerators such as Magby and Flame Patch to get Mega Charizard X ex's attack ready as quickly as possible. You can also take advantage of Mega Shine Charmander's ability to attach Fire Energy to the card.

Pom-Pom Oricorio's Ability can negate damage from attacks made by ex Pokemon. This makes it a good shield against Mega Charizard X ex's attacks while you set up your Pokemon in the Bench.
