This Mega Scizor ex deck uses low Retreat Cost Pokemon that can retreat easily to enable Bullet Slugger's bonus damage. It also includes Skarmory as a fast attacker that can damage an opposing Pom-Pom Oricorio while also utilizing Tool cards.

![]() Training Area (B2 153) |
![]() ![]() • The extra 10 damage from Training Area makes it possible for Bullet Slugger to knock out other Mega ex Pokemon with 210 HP in 2 turns, even without the additional damage. • A 160 damage Bullet Slugger can OHKO most ex Pokemon, including Bellibolt ex and Meowscarada ex. |

Mega Scizor ex works well with Pokemon cards that have a low retreat cost, as they can easily meet the condition required to enhance Bullet Slugger to deal a total of 150 damage.
As a card that shares the same type as Mega Scizor ex, Skarmory is one of the best partner Pokemon, especially with the abundance of Tool cards Steel-types can use.

Baby Pokemon are also great inclusions for this deck to help Mega Scizor ex get its required Energy as fast as possible, while also having a zero Retreat cost.

Play aggressively in the early game with a low-cost attacker while Mega Scizor ex accumulates Energy in the Bench for its Bullet Slugger. Mega Scizor ex needs 3 Energy to attack, so it needs a second attacker to deal chip damage to the opponent before it takes the Active Spot.

Mega Scizor ex won't be able to use Bullet Slugger with additional damage if their Bench is empty. Since it can tank a few heavy hits, try taking out the Pokemon Mega Scizor ex swaps with to score a point and remove a Bullet Slugger enabler from the field.
Pokemon that can damage the Bench are good counters against Mega Scizor ex, as they can easily disrupt its strategy.
