Tracing Vanishing Trails Stage 1 Clues

The first clue is a used rowboat on the water. |

The second clue is a used cooking pot located directly in front of the rowboat. |

The final clue is a raised mound found across from the pot near some woods. |
The first stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, Counter-Surveillance Point, requires you to collect three clues. Make sure to equip the device first, then speak with Yelan.
The first clue is the boat near the shore, the second is the recently used cooking pot, and the third and last one is the raised mound on the ground.
Tracing Vanishing Trails Stage 2 Clues

The first is a footprint in the dirt near the water. |

The second clue is the small stone right in front of the fallen tree. |

The third clue is what remains of a broken crate near the boulder. |

Lastly, the lantern hanging from the fallen tree's branch is the fourth clue. |
For the second stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, Key Stronghold, the investigation area is north of Chenyu Vale, and you must uncover four clues.
The first clue is the footprints on a patch of ground leading to the water. The second clue is the stone in front of the broken tree. The third clue is the broken crate beside the boulder, and the last clue is the lantern hanging from the fallen tree.
Tracing Vanishing Trails Stage 3 Mark Objects

From the starting spot, go past the barrel to reach the third crate with a marking behind some large wooden shipping boxes. |

The fourth mark is found on a barrel near the start point. |
 |
The last mark is found on a lifeboat down the stairs. |
For the third stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, Harbor Pier, proceed to Yilong Warf's pier and speak with Yelan.
You will then need to match the image from the case record to the scene and locate all of the objects with markings.
Three marked objects are crates, one in the barrel and one on the lifeboat.
Stand on the Yellow Sign to Easily Match the Image and Scene
When you match the image to the scene, you will notice a yellow marking on the pier, similar to the viewpoint. Stand on the marker, face the ship, and use the forensic imaging device to easily match the image.

Climb the stairs and head to the left side of the cabin, where you'll discover this bomb on top of crates. |
 On the Roof |
Climb the same crates as the previous bomb to reach the roof to dismantle this final bomb. |
In the fourth stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, on the Cargo Ship, interact with the quest objective to start dismantling the bombs.
The bombs will show as sparkling brown boxes, and there are five bombs on the ship that you must disassemble; be sure to refer to your case record to easily locate them.
The first bomb is near the starting place, the second is on the flagship pole, the third is below the cabin, the fourth is on the cabin's side, and the final one is on the roof.

When prompted about who the scapegoat is, select the Discreet Collector on the left. |
For the fifth stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, The Auction Site, you must locate the buyers who are wearing the flower badge.
There are only three of them, and they can all be located in the crowd at the Auction House.
When prompted who the target is, select the Discreet Collector with a bid frequency of medium on the left.

In the sixth stage of Tracing Vanishing Trails, Flinal Capture Location, you will return looking for clues. There are four clues in total, and they can be located around the house.
Two of the clues are mechanisms located on both sides of the building, and then a flower pot and a basket in front of the house.
How to Play Tracing Vanishing Trails
Equip the Forensic Imaging Device
In the initial investigation with Yelan, she will provide you with a Forensic Imaging Device to use during your search. Make sure to equip it from your inventory before speaking with Yelan to begin each investigation.
Find Clues Using the Forensic Imaging Device
The purpose of this event is to locate clues in each investigation location using the Forensic Imaging Device that Yelan provided. To accomplish this, simply use the device to scan for unusual items in every spot.
Keep in mind that you may need to scan the object from specific angles before the small circle appears and records the clue.
Check the Case Records
Always check the case records because they indicate the number of clues needed as well as the initial appearance of the site before it has been tampered with. You may then compare the location from the record to the current one to see what new things are present.
